It wasn't a normal tree. Normal trees don't make fruits of chakra and have roots that can suck a mixture of spiritual and physical energy from your body along with your life force until you're dead. I'll let the Hachibi explain it for you.

Manga fact. Maybe for the number of millennia it was just sitting there it cultivated into what appeared to be a normal tree but it was never normal dude. The Chakra belonged to the Tree, the tree merged with Kaguya and they both went after the chakra because Kaguya was obsessed with the power and wanted it to fullfill what every purpose and the tree wanted it's chakra back.

Kaguya was merged with the tree at this time. That is why you see it with the Rinnesharingan. There was no Rinnesharingan on the tree BEFORE she merged with it. Read the manga. Another bad attempt at wiping egg of your face

^^That is what the tree looked like before she ate. No Rinnesharingan. Just a giant tree with chakra fruit. We only see the tree/juubi with the rinnesharingan after she merges with it.

Another thing to point out is that you clearly see a slit on her forehead well before Hago even gets around to mentioning she awakened the Rinnesharingan, further suggesting the componets for that doujutsu was already in her genes. Also explains why Otsutsuki members like momo had different types of rinnegan. Rinnegan is in the otsutsuki blood, but different chakra fruits yield different results

They said different trees are on different planets. Different planets are probably made up of different types of nature energy, so it would make sense that the chakra from each tree would be different and therefore bring out different abilities when mixed with people's blood. It probably looked similar simply because God trees are similar in appearance. Just like the Rinnegans all have a basic ripple pattern but have different abilities

Don't tell that to people who watch the "canon-filler" avvording to that the only reason Kaguya has that attire is because it's entirely made of chakra just like juubidara cloak and this was after she got the chakra fruit. Also That's where the rinne sharingan opens from. That slit only existed after she got a rinne-sharingan because lets be real who has a random slit on their forehead before having a rinne sharingan . On the plus side Madara never had a slit on his forehead but after approaching the moon it appeared to be a rinne sharingan. One could say that "it's Kaguya's dojutsu and he merely inherited that" but that's just more evidence to show the slit occurred after and is not a pre-cursor to awakening it. There's also no proof that before talking about the rinne sharingan that she has a pre-requisite for it. It could have just been her in a stationary state not really using her Forehead dojutsu lmao.

You came in late and typed way too much based on a small part of a comment I made and a really small part of the thread. I'll catch you up

-The tree was never shown to have Rinnesharingan
-First time Rinnesharingan is seen, it's only after Kaguya eats the fruit, suggesting the chakra brought out the rinnesharingan in her
-Juubi=Kaguya. Only time tree had Rinnesharingan was after Kaguya merged with it and became juubi, further suggesting it's her and not the tree
-chakra is just chakra. It is when it is mixed with certain bloodlines that KKG and special abilities are brought out. aka bloodline limits
-If the chakra alone=Rinnegan, then everyone in NV has access to Rinnegan since their using the same chakra from the same source

Summary: Otsutsuki have the blood for Rinnegan dojutsu. That's why chakra from close to their bloodline is needed for it, As evidenced by Hago, Kaguya, Ashura and Indra, their transmigrants, Momo, etc. Rinnesharingan does not come from the tree. It's never been the chakra that determined abilities, it's always been the bloodline. That's literally how every special ability in the manga is identified. That's why chakra from the same source (tree) results in completely different bloodline limits for those not related to otsutsuki. The manga makes this clear if you pay attention. The slit in her forehead was just an observation. Doesn't change the overall concept. The chakra brought out the jutsu in her blood. It didn't give her the jutsu. Thanks for stopping by :bye:
