I'm guessing rikudou chakra is simply otsutsuki chakra. It was stated Indra and Asura's chakra needed to merge to unlock the rinnegan, so how does Momoshiki come to possess the rinnegan? :sdo:

Also during the boruto movie when sasuke fought kinshiki after using ameno, momo said "A rinnegan huh" like he was familiar with the eye and seen many.

I think the rinnegan along with byakugan lived within otsutsuki long before kaguya. Either this or a major plot fail by kishi. ​

Read the manga before claiming fanfic, Rinnegan and Byakugan powers come from eating the chakra fruit, they're not a natural KKG Otsutsuki are born with. Momo had his own version of chakra fruit which is why he was familiar with Hagoromo's dojutsu

No not all fruits are created equal lol. But yeah the one on earth was "Divine Fruit". Momo and Kinshiki had chakra pills, however their trump card was kinshiki's sacrifice, turning himself into a fruit.

Hagoromo(Manga) stated the rinnegan was unlocked via his chakra not chakra fruits. From the looks of it, there are far greater rinnegan out there than Hagoromo,sasuke,madara,etc.

Also how do you people know momo awakened his power from a chakra fruit? Post proof.

The Chakra came from the fruit. The chakra everyone uses in the NV which the Juubi was trying to reclaim was it's own, all of that was in the fruit until Kaguya ate it and unlocked the Rinne-Sharingan. She split this chakra between her kids, one of which spread it throughout the world via Ninshu which developed into Ninjutsu.

Momoshiki's tree didn't have Infinite Tsukuyomi and gave a different Rin'negan because if it had Infinite Tsukuyomi he would have just put everyone under the genjutsu, reclaim the chakra and have the power for himself all over again. I'm guess Kaguya's alien family know's what tress on what planet grant what powers.

The juubi was never trying to get back it's chakra that was a myth. BZ confirmed it was Kaguya trying to get her chakra back the whole time.

OT: OP is right. The problem is, like ^buddy above, people still haven't realized that the tree was just a tree until Kaguya merged with it. The tree was just a tree...with a fruit full of chakra. That chakra manifested itself in different abilities after it was spread throughout NV. There was no Rinnesharingan on the tree when she ate the fruit. The chakra brought out the Rinnesharingan IN HER. Then, she merged with the tree, and became the juubi. The juubi=Kaguya. The manga tells you that if you pay attention.

Just like chakra brought out the KKG in other ninja. That's the reason you have "bloodline" limits. Chakra is just that, chakra. It is chakra+your blood that brings out special abilities. If the chakra fruit from the tree=Rinnegan then that would mean everyone in NV would have potential for Rinnegan since their all using the chakra from the same source :kk:

That's the reason only Otsutsuki members or trasmigrants have been able to get the Rinnegan. You need the chakra from that specific bloodline to access it.

Exactly. Kaguya+holy tree=juubi. The holy tree in itself was just chakra. Once it mixed with Kaguya, the Rinnesharingan was born. Once Kaguya merged with the tree, then we see the juubi with the Rinnesharingan. Rinnesharingan was always in Kaguya's genes, the chakra from the tree brought it out. Read above

Chakra fruit seems to give doujutsu but it could be a combination of the two. An Otsutsuki getting that pure, untainted chakra to awaken rinnegan/rinnesharingan could be the result of their DNA. Little off topic but kinshiki seems to have chakra as well so did momo share a chakra fruit with him? if he did then he didn't have a rinnegan. idk man.

I'm just try to fix the misconception here. When you said "Its not Juubi but Kaguya trying to get back her chakra" or "Juubi want their chakra back is a myth or not true" but you did know that Juubi is Kaguya actually and when Hago told Naruto about Juubi want to take back all chakra, its true to some extent.

You maybe had a point here if at that time(battle between Juubi and Hago-Hamura), Kaguya actually not wanting to collect back her chakra.

Gotcha. My bad I didn't realize I said "juubi" instead of holy tree in my comment. I meant the tree wasn't trying to get back chakra that was all Kaguya. I just got messed up because so many people still think the juubi was the incarnation of tree

It wasn't a normal tree. Normal trees don't make fruits of chakra and have roots that can suck a mixture of spiritual and physical energy from your body along with your life force until you're dead. I'll let the Hachibi explain it for you.

Manga fact. Maybe for the number of millennia it was just sitting there it cultivated into what appeared to be a normal tree but it was never normal dude. The Chakra belonged to the Tree, the tree merged with Kaguya and they both went after the chakra because Kaguya was obsessed with the power and wanted it to fullfill what every purpose and the tree wanted it's chakra back.

Anyone who ate that fruit besides Kaguya would have been granted the Rin'negan and all the almost endless powers.
