the above statements are true... only for UCHIHA to progress their sharingan to the rinnegan. The s06p wasnt an uchiha nor a senju, he was their ancestor and he was supposedly born with his eyes and didnt have to kill anybody to get them. This is why he was considered a god/diety.

well due, that not how you get rinnegan. the steps that you mentioned are

1.kill closest friend = to get Mangekyo Sharingan
2.Take sibling eyes = to obtain Eternal MS

Sage: the original was born with Rinnegan(similar to that of Nagato)..

To awaken MS, Itachi said an Uchiha must killl his/her closest friend. But that clearly is not the case:Neither Sasuke, Itachi nor Shisui nor Kakashi killed any one for those eyes..

They all must have experienced some kind of near death situation..

how can anyone born with transformed eye already to 3rd level.......

i think madara was able to convert his EMS into rinnegan because he gained a portion of hashimira's power...........................this satisfies me
but why so6p two sons get different powers ...........

the sage was, well a sage, in that he, through power and heartache, and the will to seal the rampaging ten tails obtained the rinnegan to seal such power, and bring peace to the world. (theory but it makes sense to me)

So6p born with rinnegan and he had two kids, one has power rely one body (Senju) and one has power rely on eye (Uchiha)..and if both of these DNA mix together in one person, that person is able to awaken Rinnegan, and it don't need MS and EMS

Maybe after their birth SO6p judging from their physical condition n strength gave them powers he gave one visual n other physical power
just to keep balance in ninja world :scorps:

They were just destined and inherited different powers.
