Can someone tell me its possible to turn off the Rinnegan like the Sharingan and Byakugan? Or is it always on?

it can be turned off if awakened correctly as madara does it he switches from sharingan to rinnegan and turns it off etc where as pain who had it given to him and tobi who stole it they cant turn it off like kakashi sharingan

technically he hasnt been shown to have turned it off but he awaked it b4 he died and then when he was broght back it was not activated and in edo u are brought back as u were when u died do if he couldnt turn it off it would have been active upon revival

Oh yeah. Madara can turn in on and off because he awakend it. Nagato was given it so he cant control it to turn off or on. So,Tobi is caught. They know the real Madara is dead and has EMS and sasunoo and can turn off his rinnegan. Tobi has none of this stuff.
chapter 560 he activates sharingan switches to ems then to rinnegan all in the same chapter
Well, it doesn't make much difference...All he has to do is alter reality with his Genjutsu to make people think it's off >.> I'm quite sure Madara can turn it off though. No tails of his Rinnegan were ever told, so he definitely could turn it off.
