Echoing what DrProof said, the Rinnegan precedes Mokuton as an entity in Narutoverse, and it's significance and capabilities are greater regardless of whether or not Mokuton can mimic parts of if its features.

As I recall Mokuton was shown before Rinnegan. And also, A rinnegan user couldn't take on the 9-tails and its jinchuriki.... while the Mokuton user took on 9-tails + The strongest Uchiha....

Actually I have to disagree, with the rinnegan, he would have to change his fighting style. With Mokuton he can keep fast paced fighting style going.

No bro lol. Only one with Mokuton ever throughout history is Hashirama Senju. Nagato had the normal elements aviliable to him thorugh the rinnegan. But he didn't master all the elements.

Thank you for mentioning that, now I can tell you how Mokuton simply trolls on a Tailed beast. The largest structure created is from Mokuton. The shaping of the Moon is still not clarified, so I can't really say anything. But if that moon is the same as the real moon, then its totally false.

Does Rinnegan enable the person to travel through land? Does it enable the person to create the strongest clones in Naruto-verse? Does it enable the person to grab a Bijuu bomb? Does it enable the person to regenerate?

Clearly rinnegan is outclassed in that.

With the Rin'negan; Rikudo and even to the extents of Madara were able to bring forth physical-beings wielding flesh and blood out of nothingness, piling on to that, the Rin'negan is able to read minds and extract souls via Ningendō, revive souls via Gedō: Rinne Tensei no Jutsu (a connection between the Pure and Unpure world). Mokuton is Kekke Genkai and Rinnegan is possibly Kekke Genkai, we don't know, we only know it's Dojutsu. to get Rinnegan you need Senju and Uchiha DNA. Anybody theoretically could have Mokuton, anybody who possessed control over Suiton and Doton and can mix up those two into one Mokuton.
I like the comparison, it really seems as if these two were on the same level the way you put it, but from what i understood from manga till now, Rinnegan equals godlike powers while Mokuton's Kekke genkai, overpowered but still Kekke genkai
