Hmmm i think the Rinnegan is more than qualified to be dubbed the best doujutsu if you actually pay attention to its powers and the way its used in the manga

I see a lot of talk on the forums about Rinnegan <,>, =<, >=, =
I find it quite annoying that Kishi has hyped the Rinnegan all series about it being the greatest eye tech and then only show abunch of people who use it in a fail way** while making Sharingan, and almost every other KKG tech seem 10x better than the rinnegan.

**by fail way I mean show us an amazing jutsu that super easily countered

The point im making is until Kishi stops trolling the rinnegan and show us a "TRUE" user of the Rinnegan (So6p himself) can we please stop the rinnegan comparisons lol

That is just a bold assumption, which you can't know, and never will know. From what we've seen, it didn't appear much differently this time compared to the last. Pain's chibaku tensei did capture him, however, when he went to the 8th tail, he broke free. So you can't really tell.

Im talking in the context of OP's question, he was saying we havnt been shown a true user of the Rinnegan so what I was trying to say is it could have been Nagato if he didnt get crippled by the gedo mazo.

whats crazy tho is kurama broke out of chibaku tensei used by a rinnegan user but couldnt break out of the woodstatue's grip used by hashi does that mean hashi's techs are stronger than the rinnegan techs

Maybe Hashirama's chakra (quality?) is greater than Nagato's? Or maybe it had all to do with the fact that Hashirama's chakra binds and suppresses Bijuu. Chibaku Tensei simply pulls everything towards a central point; it restricts through brute force, not chakra (a magical force).

That's how I see it, anyway.

Rinnengan> Sharingan, used by same orginal user both of Doujutsu(Madara)

Madara with rinnengan(potential) > Madara with sharingan

Madara with rinngan(current) < Madara with sharingan

but if we compare two different user of each doujutsu, then it depends from their mastery over each doujutsu.

For example:

EMS Madara > Nagato with Rinnengan (transplant)

pain is original user of the rinnegan, he raised with them and learned how to use them + he has most experience with em, kishi himself stated that keeping pain alive to war arc would be unfair because he is ( well was ) so strong.. CT easily countered? it wasnt even full sized yet and EDO itachi, 8 and 9 tail jinchuriki had to use their most strongest attacks to destroy the core.. alone they couldn't do it.. and reason why naruto got out was a simply plot.. or maybe nagato couldnt maintain the CT that good because he was coughin blood at moment and was weakened alrdy.. sharingan is overrated..rinnegan is the most powerful eye dojutsu there is.

I don't really care about whatever you said however there are some things I would like to talk about. Pain was not the original user of the Rinnegan. The original user was Sage of the Six Paths. Besides, it was Uchiha Madara who had implanted his eyes into Nagato. Yes yes, Sharingan is overrated. A good example is the "Final Susanoo" of Uchiha Madara.

The rinnegan has been shown to be pretty powerful. Look at all the things Nagato and Obito were able to do. Hanzo, Jiraiya, Kakashi....strong characters have been taken down by rinnegan users. I wouldn't say that a rinnegan user defeating a SM user or someone like Hanzo is trolling it and making it seem weak.

I think Kishi did not ruin the Rinnegan. Rather, a message was given about Rinnegan, which is that Rinnegan is not the same as Sharingan where obtaining it allow you to spam Jutsu. The particularity of Rinnegan is that Obtaining it allows you to know Jutsu. Whether you spam these Jutsu or not depends on your own physical, and spiritual energy, and your life force. In facts, I believe that without Sage mode, no one can use the knowledge given by Rinnegan to its full extent. This is why Rikudo was called Rikudo Sennin. until now, Madara, Obito and Nagato all have gotten the same knowledge Rikudo had, but they have been using it in a very limited fashion because of their own power limit. These are not sennins.

At the end, Naruto and Sasuke ( +/or Orochimaru) will show the true power of the Rinnegan.
