It depends of the type of genjutsu. I think Rinnengan is immune against eye to eye genjutsus because it's the most powerful dojutsu, an evolution of the EMS.

Well, since most of you are 12 years old and don't pay attention to the manga, Jiraiya used a Genjutsu with Ma and Pa on one of the pains. That proves the Rinnegan is not immune to Genjutsu.
