[Theory] Rimbo can't be dodged or sidestepped?

I was thinking that Madara's Limbo failed because maybe the tree was influencing the fight. It caused the move to miss Naruto by bumping or shifting him, because it wanted to be hit with the jutsu to get chopped down. As if that was necessary for the next part in its evil plan to get Madara to absorb it or something.
