Your the one assuming that Limbo is as fast as the speed of light. We don't even know if it's really gravity or not. It can even be invisble energy that holds someone in place. Remember that Madara has senjutsu and Naruto can use frog kata, which manipulates the invisble energy around him. It may be the same type of move, but on a bigger scale and Naruto could've sense and dodged it.

Actually I think the other half he is referring to is the other half of the so6p power that was given to sasuke which is on the other side of the battle field before 2nd hokage use FTG to move sasuke next to naruto.

Even in MS translation, Madara wasn't sure whether Limbo was dodged or not.
But since Naruto wasn't shown effected from it instead was shown confused. I think Rinnegan techniques won't work on him anymore.
