Background Info.
Riku was born in kohona village after the nine tails attack. He was raised in a secluded part of the village designed to train special body guards of the hokage. He trained day and night and learned to erase feelings of love hate anger and so on.
He became a cold heartless merceless shinobi by the age of six, and was appointed head protector of the third hokage by age eight. He was given his sword by his predecessors who told him that it belonged to his ancestor. His ancestor was named Ren Shoko and he was a ninja that took down and entire army by himself.
Some people in the village said that Riku was a protege.
As fate would have it the day Orochimaru attacked was his only day off. He was Relaxing in Ichirakus ramen shop When the first wave of Orochimarus onslaught began. He quickly rushed to the third hokages aid only to find that he was to late. He stood over the Third's lifeless body and felt nothing for he had been trained that way.
After many hours he finally returned home expecting to rest for the thirds funeral the next day only to find that his parents had fought and died by orochimarus hands. That was the first time he actually cried....
A couple years later he decided that he would seek out the best senseis to help him in his quest to destroy any and all evil that would seek to ruin the world. He first felt the feeling of freindship when he had a small run in with uzumaki naruto.
And through the power of Talk-no-jutsu he learned that abandoning all his feelings was only a way of secluding and weakoning himself.
Riku now only seeks out the help of the worlds greatest shinobi to train and guide him.
