1. Because... they're cool. O_O To be honest, it gives me an excuse to wear this comfortable and epic jumpsuit. O_____O
2. By using them only when absolutely necessary, in other words, hardly ever. The gates kill you from the inside, so there's no other way that I can avoid injury from them besides simply using it wisely.
3. Gate of Opening, Healing, Life, Pain, Limit, View, Wonder, and Death.
4. The Gates of Opening and Healing are both in the brain. Life and Pain are in the upper spinal cord. Limit is lower down in the spinal cord in the abdomen. Gate of View is in the spinal cord as well in the stomach. The Gate of Wonder is in the spinal cord below the stomach. The Gate of Death is located in the heart.
5. The Gate of Opening removes restraints of the brain and allows the use of Primary Lotus. Gate of Healing increaeses physical strength. The Gate of Life allows you to use Hidden Lotus. Pain further increases both your speed and power. I'm guessing that the Gate of Limit just increases speed and power again (not exactly sure). The Gate of View allows use of Morning Peacock and begins to release a massive amount of chakra that can attract vortexes of water around the user just by his presence. Not quite sure what the Gate of Wonder does. And the Gate of Death allows the user to reach their maximum physical potential, and much further beyond even that.
6. The first has the most minute consequences, maybe tiring out, at most, users after use of it. The second tires out the user more quickly and generally on a larger scale than the first, and the user may feel pain. The Gate of Life is more dangerous, and certain users who are new to it can be injured for a while after usage. The gate of pain may tear muscle tissue. The Gate of Limit would definately put the user in the hospital for weeks, maybe even months after usage, and the same goes for the Gate of Wonder. The gate of death, as it suggests, causes death. O_O

Guy: Moving on. First since you already know where the first gate is located, that saves me the trouble of having to explain it to you Kakashi. The first thing I want you to do is focus your chakra around the gate, then apply large amounts of pressure to it.
