Authors note: This is the third installation, and in case you didn't know, this story is loosely based on my bio for this character. The people who do comment me really inspire me to get better and to keep writing, but for the moment, screw word. Also, I think this chapter might be more interesting because it starts to tie in some very influential characters in the vast and amazing Narutoverse :D

Rikoto was aware of 2 things. The first and most obvious being that he was not dead, and the second being that he was not where he had passed out. He kept his eyes closed, but he listened carefully, not knowing if they were enemies or friends. Slowly, he grew the courage to open his eyes and look at where he was. He was surprised to find himself in a nice warm cave, with a fire crackling nearby. There were a bunch of people sitting around the fire, including some odd looking individuals. They were whispering in what looked like a heated debate, but it was barely audible over the snaps and pops of the fire. He knew they were talking about him, because they glanced and motioned over at him from time to time. And one man, who looked like a leader, with the authority he seemed to command, was one that looked the most displeased. After a while, they noticed him awake and listening. So a woman in the group came over and kneeled beside him.

"How are you?" she asked quietly.

"Fine" he replied. "Do you know where my sister is?"

"Was your sister the one we found with you?" she questioned.

"Yes" as he looked down, and started to struggle not to get upset.

"There was nothing we could do, she was gone when we got there, and we barely managed to save you. But don't worry, she is in a better place, and we treated her body with respect." she said gently. "May I ask you what you and your sisters name was?"

"My name is Rikoto, and hers was Youko." he replied forcefully, once again upset at the thought of his sister.

"No last name?" she implored.

"Who cares, our entire family is dead, and this world is evil, no one cares about last names anymore!"

"I'm sorry..." she said as she tried to think what to ask next.

"What is your name?" he asked quickly.

"My name is Konan, and our group is full of people just like you, ones that have lost their family and had nowhere to turn, but wanted to make Ame a better place."

After that, he was given some food and water, not much, but still he was thankful for it. Shortly after he finished it, he rolled over and didn't talk for the rest of the night.

He was woken up by a gentle shaking of the arm, but his reflexes took it as a threat, and he latched on to the arm shaking him with an iron grip until he saw it was Konan again. Then he let go and apologized as she rubbed her wrist to get some feeling back into it.

"Sorry to wake you, but we are going to set out again, we have a bit of a journey ahead of us" Konan said.

"Aren't we all" chimed a guy in the crowd no older than himself.

"You are welcome to come with us if you want, but we have to be quick, and Yahiko said to leave you behind if you slow us down too much" said Konan while packing her bags and helping Rikoto up.

They walked for almost the entire day, and when it was just about to get too dark to continue, he saw a makeshift house in the distance. When they had reached it, everyone breathed an involuntary sigh of relief knowing they made it without any major troubles. So once again Rikoto entered an unknown house, with no idea of what would lay in store for him once he entered, but he didn't feel quite as scared this time. And once he got inside, he relaxed because the atmosphere was friendly. Shortly after, Konan insisted he go to bed to help heal his injury better, and as he drifted off to sleep, his mind wandered to many things. From his sister, to the new and unknown direction his life was taking place, and as he slowly succumbed to sleep, he didn't know for sure if it was for the better.

[I'm starting to like writing this story :)]

Maybe, I didn't want to say yet, but it is supposed to tie in Akatsuki and some main characters while still staying true to some parts of the storyline

Yep, lol, it's all going to tie in eventually, because while the story is made up, the character does exist, we just know nothing about him, so I am able to create his life, in a way

I think you said you were afraid of doing dialogue properly in your last thread? (Or something similar...)
I honestly think you did a good job here. I can't really find anything to criticize.

Yeah, I had a bad experience in 9th grade where I did a Creative Writing Story with dialogue and my English Teacher absolutely ripped through it. That paper looked like it had been written in red ink by the time she finished, lol...
