Okay, so I've been thinking long and hard about this one. We all know that the White Zetsu can create copies of other people, and use a jutsu which allows him steal other peoples chakra and give it to someone else. But what about Black Zetsu? We already know that he seems to be responsible for "recording battles" but I believe that the Black Zetsu is responsible for teleportation. In his first appearance, we see his teleportation ability with both halves together:
Then here we see him split in two for the first time:
Now at the Kage summit after the White Zetsu uses his spore release technique, the Black Zetsu says " I can't believe no one noticed MY hoshi no jutsu." Up until this point the White and Black halves had been speaking as if they were independent, but the Black Zetsu clearly states that he is controlling the white half. Also notice that the Black Zetsu is in a different location than the one where the White Zetsu separated:
