"Retarded" Naruto

I read all this stupid comments about how Naruto is naive and retarded because he's willing to go so far for Sasuke when Sasuke doesn't give a shit about him.

Try to examine the situation with the cloud-nins in the latest chapter a bit more thoroughly and you'll notice that he's doing exactly what he should be doing.

He refuses to sell out Sasuke for very known reasons, but leave that aside and interpret what's really going on; He tells them that if he gives them information on Sasuke and they succeed at eliminating him, satisfying their hunger for revenge, there will be other people wanting to avenge Sasuke and thus just feed our very renown "chain of hatred". He wants them to let go of the revenge and instead do something constructive like looking for Kirabi (this would have been a whole lot more complex if Kirabi was actually dead).

He can't tell them to just let it slip and pretend it never happened, human nature doesn't work that way, thus why he offers himself as a punching bag.. very narutolike indeed, but what can he do? Honestly, the people he looked up to, sensei, sempai, father you name it has left it in his hands to bestow peace upon the ninja world.. and he has to start somewhere.

Just wait and see how it plays out before you draw these stupid conclusions.

I totally see that but its stupid to let himself be used as a punching bag especially after defeating Pain, an Akutski top dog. He shouldnt let anyone put their hands on him, but I do understand the whole point about keeping the chain of hatred going if they go and kill Sauske.

And what chain of hatred is he referring to? really... Sasuke is a missing nin and should be treatened like one, and there is no difference WHO will kill Sasuke - Lightning ninja or KOnoha anbu. The only difference between them, tbh, is that the first ones have a decent reason to kill Sasuke.

And it's pretty kind of logical to go look for Sasuke first because he was the one who captured their sensei, isn't he? So he should know where is KIrabi located. I don't see how are they jsut gonne look for Kirabi without facing Sasuke ;/

The chain of hatred will continue because once again ninja will kill other ninja because of Sauske kidnapping the 8 tails. If they would succeed in killing Sauske that would lead to other ninja wanting revenge, like Sakura and Naruto and maybe Suaske's current team "Hawk".

That chain of hatred speal wasn't very accurate. He said he didn't want them to kill Sasuke becuase people in Konoha would want to kill them. But o.nly one person would try...and that's Sakura lol. Everyone else would understand becuase well...he has it comming.

This whole manga is about ninjas, now what is Narutos goal ? Correct. To destroy the ninja world and bring peace to Naruto Universe. Very wise. Unfortunately, not for me. but the hard part for people to understand is th fact that he has voluterily become a punching bag which is something only mothers do for thier kids and husbands for their wives

since as far as we know sasuke is neither to naruto its odd to see him go so far for a freind that has severed his ties with him

Sasuke is to Naruto one of his first bonds and it's likely he regards him as a brother. And from having followed the series this far you should all know that he is and always will be willing to go this far for Sasuke.

He also knows those cloud-nins ought to have at least an ounce of dignity and will stop hitting him out of shame at some point.
