When ever i give reputation it never actually gives it. It just says it does but they never get it. Why? (also whoever posts on this thread to help me will get repuation after its been fixed) So post away peoples!!!!!!

There are two ways to gives reps:
1) One you click on the thank you button in the left bottom corner of the person's post, however this way you can only thank the maker of the thread, no one else. One thank you is always 5 reputation points.
2) You click on the green flag in the right upper corner of the person's post. This way you can give reps for every individual post, no matter whether it's the maker of the thread or not. The amount of reputation points tha are received depends on the givers postcount. The more posts, the higher the reps is. You only have 4 posts, so the reputation points you would give are 1 or 0.

Do you mean the user you give it to doesn't receive it, or don't they get a new green rep thing?When ever i give reputation it never actually gives it. It just says it does but they never get it. You can give reputation points to an user and they will receive it, but they will only get a new green rep thingy (I don't know how it's called) if they have reached 100, 200, 300 (etc. I suppose). You start with one green thingy. I have 311 reputation points and thus 4 green rep things.
If this isn't what you meant then never mind

Dont worry i figured it out. It turns out you need it least 10 or 20 posts to give it least 4 points of reputation
Read the entire post please. I said clearly this way you can only thank the maker of the thread, only he has a thank you button there, no one else. So in this thread only Tobi of the Sharingan has a thank you button in his first post.

What you have said that a person with low posts and that give rep, his rep is equivalent to 0 or 1 points. So how much points is a rep of a 10000+ posts user worth?
The formula for rep power has never been posted by an admin, but from what I can see every 1000 posts gives you 1 point for rep power. Other factors are (from the vbulletin manual):
Register Date Factor - The number of reputation points that a user is able to give or take is dependant on several factors, with the length they have been registered as one of them. A user's power is first initialized at 1 and then this factor and the factors that follow are used to increase it. For example if you set this to 365, every 365 days that the user has been a member of your forum, they would gain one point. So if they have been a member for five years, they would gain 5 points of power for a total of 6.
Reputation Point Factor - The users current reputation score can also affect their reputation power. Set this to 100 and a user with a reputation of 1000 would gain 10 points of reputation power. If you set any of the power factors to 0, that will effectively remove that factor from having an effect on the user's reputation power.
