so hidan will stand there & let him cut his head when asuma a skill taijutsu/kenjutsu user& shikamaru cannot do that. U think hidan too would not have know about shika shadow.

Um...just so you all know, they both require prep. Hidan's curse need the prep, the circle, the blood, so forth. And Shikamaru's plans need prep. So the question in itself poses a problem.

In a 1 on 1 Shikamaru wouldn't have the chance to analyze Hidan's abilities. He wouldn't know to avoid any cuts at all costs. The second Hidan scratches Shikamaru it's all over. As smart as Shikamaru is, unless he knows of Hidan's ritual he cannot beat him

Guys, Shikamaru is a ninja that is not suitable for 1on1 fight without preparation... So I think Hidan will win this... If Shikamaru will win with no preparation, Asuma will not be pawned.

Shikimaru is physically uncapable of beating Hidan without prep. He has no sealing, or digging or permanent freezing skills, or ability to remove soul. Hidan could be beheaded all it would require for him is a drop of blood, he would simply roll in the symbol and then shikimaru would just instantly die, but chances of shikimaru doing damage to Hidan that he did with a tag team of asuma. Hidan is in akatsuki for a reason, he is the only naruto character who can be even more implosive then naruto without loosing. Shikimau shouldn't take this personally though, I don't know if naruto or sasuke would fair better.
