LeafSpirit, mind if I ask your age? I'm 22 now, far from being any sort of "responsible adult", but I find most of the friends I have now are pretty mature when it comes to relationships. Sure, there's the odd one or two who still only cares about ***, parties, etc. But I think for the most part, they're out of that stage. They're not quite at the "I want to settle down and get married" stage, of course, but they're finally out of the ol' one-day hump em' and dump 'em lifestyles.

Besides, I see no real problem with it anyway. Relationships - like most things - aren't for everybody. Some people just aren't into that thing, and never will be. I don't think it has a whole lot to do with porn and what not, I think it's the way our society has grown for the better. In the past you were expected to get married, have kids, be a regular ol' family. Now, people don't care. Although the world may still have a lot of hate, it's also become more accepting in some ways, and more "You're a free person, do what you want", as opposed to the "This is how you should live. This is how we'll make you live"-type of scenario you would've been in years ago.

I personally am not the type of person who is always after ***. If i date someone, its because we have genuine feelings for each other and i can make her happy and we feel fulfilled. I dont like the way people have a relationship just to be in one.
