I'm not going to dig too much in this one, I'll go straight to the heart of the topic.

The Juubi was divided in a embodiment and Nine Tailed Beasts.

It seems like the Juubi's Final Form is quite similar to 'Yggdrasil', the legendary 'fresno perenne' which roots connects Nine Worlds:

Asgard, Midgard, Helheim, Niflheim, Muspellheim, Svartalfheim, Alfheim, Vanaheim and Jootunheim (Comparable to the Nine tailed beasts).

At the feets of the Tree, there was Heimdall, the God in charge of protecting the Sacred Tree from Nidhogg, the wicked dragon that was leading wicked worms, that were trying to corrupt the Yggdrasil roots, and defeat the gods represented by the sacred tree.

The Yggdrasil is a source of knowledge. There are many things related to the manga.

---

Of course, there are many people that believes that the current situation is very similar to what Christianism proposes, but I think that this source is even more accurate, or furthermore, Kishimoto may be supporting this situation on both belief.

Any thoughts about this find?

Yeah I just recently made a thread talking about all the references between the naruto tree myth and alot of the others but I didn't go into detail on each but I did think about the 9 realms and 9 beasts... Just thought it was a little far out there and a little bit of coincidence

Plus yesterday I actually had a present the Yggdrasil project in my literature class because that's what we're going over at the moment. That's what's making this new chapter so funny is because I'm going over it in school

Wow. Pokemon X and Y is also referencing Nordic Mythology.
Nordic Mythology seems very popular nowadays.

Yvetal = The Bird on top that sees into souls.
Xereneas = An animal in the middle that I forgot what it does.
Unnamed Third Legendary = Will most likely be the snake at the bottom of the tree.

Team Flare = Reference to the whole world burning at the end.

I disagree.

The "God Tree" is remarkingly similar to The Tree Of Life in the bible.

Both the "God Tree" and the Tree Of Life had fruit that was forbidden.

Kaguya and Eve ate the forbidden fruit and gained something. Both were likened to become god-like/like god after eating the fruit.

Both Kaguya and Eve bore sons that acted as saviors of the world, though their tales are different in how they went about doing it.

Then again, japanese stories seem to be ripe with ideas about trees of power. Final Fantasy Adventure for gameboy, Tree of Might from dbz, Secret Of Mana(I think), ect.

For the sake of clarity I will quote myself...
