I'm not going to dig too much in this one, I'll go straight to the heart of the topic.
The Juubi was divided in a embodiment and Nine Tailed Beasts.
It seems like the Juubi's Final Form is quite similar to 'Yggdrasil', the legendary 'fresno perenne' which roots connects Nine Worlds:
Asgard, Midgard, Helheim, Niflheim, Muspellheim, Svartalfheim, Alfheim, Vanaheim and Jootunheim (Comparable to the Nine tailed beasts).
At the feets of the Tree, there was Heimdall, the God in charge of protecting the Sacred Tree from Nidhogg, the wicked dragon that was leading wicked worms, that were trying to corrupt the Yggdrasil roots, and defeat the gods represented by the sacred tree.
The Yggdrasil is a source of knowledge. There are many things related to the manga.
---
Of course, there are many people that believes that the current situation is very similar to what Christianism proposes, but I think that this source is even more accurate, or furthermore, Kishimoto may be supporting this situation on both belief.
