Registrations were disabled to get rid of the major trolls. If you're banned, that's it.
Edit: Other reasons may possibly exist, but I've been inactive for a while, this is the bit I know of.

so now its just us I guess naruto base is dead then I mean the trolls were just apart of life here but now there will be no more newbies mine as well shut down the welcome page and while were at it how about we just close the rpg too :devil:

It is true that the forum isn't as active as it once was. But V didn't state that the change was permanent, registrations may re-open one day.

Registrations closed because we came to a time in the site in which trolls where just coming and going, and banning them wasn't doing much good and where just making our job harder. Now then, we didn't close registrations to slack off, like some of you believe or think, if you understood the time and dedication taken to moderate this forum you'd understand. Registrations will open when and if the Admins find it is time to reopen then, or when it has been proven to the staff that they can be reopened without any harm befits the base. I would appreciate that the negative comments on the matter be kept to yourselves, for you do not understand this fully, we know what is happening and we are keeping our options open, but when members simply move to insult, bash, flame and criticize our work instead of understanding, things tend to stay the same.

Now this thread has also been made several other times, with the same answer. I would appreciate no other post after my own until a moderator closes this thread, inputs his opinion or simply does what they find fit as the moderators of this section.

Last but not least, consider this a warning to all those who have broken the rules replying in this thread. Do not bash, flame, insult or question the actions of the staff, and do not spam unnecessary comments.

It is doing alot more harm thn good, whats the point if there is no1 left?

Okay, the registrations have been closed for more than one reason, however, the most readily perceivable one is the persistence of numerous trolls. Now, when I say trolls, I'm not talking about people that make a few spam threads every blue moon and then settle down. There've been a plethora of people that have come to this site with nothing more than the desire to screw with it and everyone who frequents it, and they thought it'd be cool to do so by making dozens of alts. Everyone who thinks it's a simple click to permanently get rid of a knowledgable, stubborn troll clearly has no idea what they're talking about. Oh, and it seems I need to state, once again, that it was not the moderators who closed registrations; we don't have that power, never had it. The administrators, the people who built this site and have sustained it, mutually decided upon closing the registrations temporarily, which was not an easy thing for them to step up and do. If you think any staff member actually enjoys having registrations closed, temporarily or not, you are sadly mistaken. Though the high numbers of trolls is indeed an issue, there are a few other issues that have deeply impacted the length of closure. As it is, such issues are matters only for the NB administrators, and no, no one else is entitled to know about them.​
