Those artists are being forgotten too much. I know that they are going downhill, but the songs they made can't be forgotten. Flea is a freaking good bassist who can make the best basslines, Anthony has got awesome dance moves and sings great, Chad is an awesome drummer, John was an awesome guitarist and now Josh does his role perfectly.

So erm... I just wanted to know what other people think about their music.

I've been a huge Chili Pepper's fan since i was 6. In fact, just last weekend, i flew out to Scotland to go see them. They are in no way going downhill. The new album "I'm With You" is not their best, but it is not showing any decline in their music. They still have their funky and alternative vibe that we all love. They have beautiful songs on that album that can be related to old ones, such as "Brendan's Death Song" can be related to "Desecration Simle" in terms of tempo and melancholly. I'm not flaming you, do not misunderstand, that is not my style. I'm just simply saying that their music is not going downhill. I do miss John. Quite a bit, actually. But watching Josh live made me feel the same vibe I'd get when watching videos of John live. He's not on John's level, but is a wonderful and in my eyes, the only replacement for John. I do like that you're trying to raise awareness about, what in my eyes is, the greatest band in music history. And, I support you completely. By the way, "By The Way" is my favourite album.

I completely agree, they're not really the "same" band anymore. Anthony and Flea said on a number of occasions that they are a "different" and "new" band.

my personal favorate record by them is mothers milk shows both flea and johns skills on the instrument to the fore. been trying for years to find there rarest song set it streight which was recorded before there first record came out. personally don't like the new stuff that much there still good but prefer the earlier stuff.

I agree with u on the album pick but I would add Blood Sugar *** Magic also it is for me the best album of all times
Also, I like the first albums with Hillel Slovak the Uplift Mofo Party Plan, where u can see raw energy in its best form after Hillel died John stepped in and u can see the influence Hillel had on him in the Mothers Milk album, but later John developed a style of his own and thats what I respect

The new album I dont like very much, I think the main thing Josh is to learn is to form his new unique style of playing, because that the truth behind the RHCP they are always about sth new. Every single one of their guitarist had a style of his own even Dave Navarro...so GO RHCP!
