If you liked Mirai Nikki, then you need to watch;

Shiki ('slow burn.. keeps you at the edge of your seat OMG what's about to happen' kind of anime)
Higurashi - Same description as above

Shinsekai Yori - Best anime ever imo. Really picks up its pace and steadies it all the way to the end from episode 4. So interesting you won't notice it doesn't have an opening till they hit you with one in Episode 16 or 17.
