Awakening it together was more likely a coincidence, and that Kakashi and Obito awakened it for their own reasons (Kakashi killing a close friend, Obito watching his "love" die). We know Sharingan's power can be called forth in times of need anyway.

Its all irrelevant though, since he didn't actually phase through it. If he had, the area where the boulder landed wouldn't have been crushed.

But it showed that he awakened it when he saw Rin die by Kakashit's hands.

Showing that he still had 2T, then showing how the awakening of MS created the awakening of his 3T. This proves that this was the first time he unlocked MS, otherwise he would have had a 3T already when he saw Rin die.

It doesn't. Sasuke's first moment of awakening the Sharingan was never emphasized yet it was when he activated it against Haku because that was the moment where he had control over it. Same situation here, Obito's awakening of the MS was emphasized due to Kakashi also awakening it, and also to signify that he was able to activate the Mangekyo.

There's absolutely no indication that the Sharingan can even use S/T Ninjutsu and it's heavily implied that Kamui is his MS technique. In order to convince me otherwise, you have to prove that Kakashi is able to use Kamui with just a regular Sharingan.

1. Madara's statement isn't even valid evidence that Obito indeed phased through the boulder

2. If Obito had phased through the boulder he would've had a 3T after his MS deactivated since sharingan can't backtrack between tomoe, but he was still at 2 tomoe until he actually awakened MS (when Rin died)
