And we're all supposed to act like people will just let a Hyuga hit them. The Byakugan's offense is a huge weakness because if the enemy has enough chakra, they can keep fighting from afar until the Hyuga is drained.

Exact opposite, ranged attacks would be easy to avoid thanks to the Byakugan's extended vision and sensory.

We see Neji blocking Hinata's attacks at her wrists NOT her palms, he's making sure to specifically avoid touching her palms because that is where the Chakra flows out of. However, with someone like Neji, who can release Chakra from not just his palms, but his wrists, arms, and everywhere else, an enemy wouldn't even have the luxury of blocking attacks by the wrist, because Neji could STILL use Gentle Fist, in a sense, through his wrists or any other body part, so the attack needs to be avoided COMPLETELY, which makes things even harder.
