I dunno fam. He said Naruto saved him from loneliness but Gaara had his brother and sister there for him this whole time. It was just Gaara was treating them like crap but they was there for him.

You mean from part 1 or beginning of part 2? Cuz part 2 he owes Chiyo his life lol. Part 1 Naruto saved him from "darkness" but Gaara was never alone. That's why part 1 Gaara was a beast to me.

Kankuro, nor Temari understood his problems like Naruto, they feared him remember. Naruto saved him in early pt.2 as well, he rescued him from Deidara, Chiyo also saved him by giving her life.

Still, being indebted to someone because they saved your life is completely understandable. Nothing negative came out of Gaara maturing the way he did in late pt.1 to the end of Naruto.

GOAT character imo.

Some aspect of intelligence (Gon not being book smart and some common sense issues but a god at the rest). Fluid character and them being able to change their motives and ethos depending on their situation, as well as how badass they are and if they stand out among the rest.

I usually dig character archetypes and where the character slots into the series in general. Kabuto and Obito fit my trickster/shapeshifter favourite bracket so idk

A cocky attitude, humanisation, mad character development and a different fighting style also help. F*ck outta here with power levels.

Reasons I like Gaara;

-Voice (bruh his English voice is fire)
-Personality (always cool, and collected)
-Power (Top 15, not debatable)

I don't know anyone who actually dislikes the guy tbh. He's hard to dislike, especially with his harsh past, and how he came up.

Depends. if you include the known Ototsuki Members he isn't nowhere near Top 15.

Yes true. But they were still there for him threw it all Gaara just treated them like crap lol

Gaara was dead tho when Naruto "saved" him lol tho iirc didn't Kakashi technically save Gaara? I don't remember.

I agree somewhat like Naruto saved Sasuke and Sasuke is indebted to Naruto but he don't talk about him like Gaara talks about Naruto. Dude had a whole speech to the alliance about the guy.

Haha, I know what you mean but the word thirsty is pushing it. XD I think we get to see a glimpse of old Gaara back when he fought Trollkage.

Tru but he did act like it sometimes.

I'll never understand the mentality of hating character for finding strength through others. Practically every relevant character has this happen with them.

Sasuke resonates with my personality, along with Indra. I believe in relying on oneself, and using ones own power. I believe in power and control bringing true peace. Sasuke was extremely dedicated, and emotionally calm, something I've always worked toward being ever since being introduced to his character.

Obito represents my other side, I'm not exactly talented at things outside of mental strength. He's extremely devoted to people he feels romantically attracted to, a clear similarity between myself and him. Obito awakening an untapped potential is something I've looked forward to concerning myself.

Well, I often like characters with not too much screen time because I like filling in the blanks myself. I like characters with a certain specialization and/or style as opposed to those who can do everything at once (power levels can vary). Also, I have a certain type when it comes to their personality (usually, I like characters with good self-control, that can remain level-headed in most situations, those who suppress their emotions and are serious about their work, are loyal and/or true to themselves no matter what, maybe somewhat arrogant, morally gray to some degree). Cool design helps as well (and I tend to prefer it when it's relatively simple).

Edit: also, I like characters that are more or less smart but not hyped as geniuses - mostly because I don't like being told what to think about them.

I like aesthetic characters, as well as quirky, funny, weird, a bit socially-restricted, intellectual and cold-eyed ones.

Great post. I however see you haven't met the member Yellow Fang iirc. I know everyone is entitled to their opinions, but that guy just dislikes Gaara to an extent it pisses me off..

OT: Gaara ...same as above except I think his Japanese VA is badass

Hinata too... there was a point when I could relate.. So provoking Neji with words made her one of my favs

Also: any character that the author doesn't revere as a God. Nothing makes me disconnect quicker than a Gary Stu or Kishi's 'Hype my Ninja boyfriend of the Month' habit that Madara, Minato and Itachi received.

The characters Kishimoto makes work for their development and relevance in the story are his masterpieces.

My older bro used to dislike gaara when he was evil. I've seen some people complain about his relationship with naruto.
