Orochimaru is the best reason he made a book and it has alot of secret things about akatsuki

Lmao @ Konan's reason... Itachi's was by far the the most meaningful; Sasori, Deidara, and Hidan's reasons weren't that good though.

Lol Sasori's is just a typical tale of not being loved same as gaara
Hidan's village lost all its honour, everything he previously fought for became useless despite his efforts
Deidara is a typical case of craving power much like Orochimaru, he has the best reason of the lame ones

Actually back while when Pain was explaining Akatsuki's goals to Hidan where he gives the reasons why people fight but it is really a hint at why Akatsuki members joined.

Yeah but this thread is showing how they came to have those motives for joining the akatsuki in the first place
Sasori's reasons:
He turned himself into a human puppet to live by what he believed as fine art and decided to add more puppets to his army, something he couldn’t have done if he stayed in his village where he wouldn’t be able to exert his art to its fullest, the villagers would suspect him for killing their comrades and sooner or later, everyone would be aware of his crimes.
And according to the databook, his hobby was remodelling his puppet collection. He’s interested in making human puppets out of strong shinobi like the Third Kazekage because these puppets can retain their kekkei genkai and techniques in addition to all the unpredictable mechanisms, unlike regular puppets. Sasori specifically said that his collection was about quality and not quantity.

He couldn’t turn into puppets every opponent he met. He had to select the strongest and the ones who would make powerful puppets, and he would only achieve that outside of his village. He has made 298 human puppets in total prior to his death.Source: Naruto Forums - edited.

but still his reason for leaving the village isn't the best, naruto could of turned out like him or even worse and even still Sasori was accepeted accepted had his grandmother chiyo

Itachi's Reasons:
He murdered his entire clan in what would become known as the Uchiha Family Downfall and defected from the village, becoming an S-rank missing-nin and protected Konoha from the shadows of this deadly organization
Kisame's Reasons:
He killed his master when he realised that he was selling information. Approached by the Fourth Mizukage, Yagura, who commended him for his act of loyalty to Kirigakure, Kisame rebuked him and revealed his disillusion. Calling his life of betrayal and murder nothing but a "living lie". "Madara Uchiha" then revealed himself as the one controlling Yagura from the shadows, intimating to Kisame his Eye of the Moon Plan. He realised he wanted to experience this "world of truth"
Kakuzu's Reasons:
When he was still a loyal, elite ninja of Takigakure, Kakuzu took on a mission to assassinate Hashirama Senju, the First Hokage. This mission, however, ended in failure due to the might of Hashirama's Wood Release techniques. Despite the insurmountable danger faced in the mission, what awaited his return to his village was the stigma and harsh punishment associated with the failure of his objective. In response to this treatment, a wrong levied against a shinobi who had put life and limb on the line for his village, Kakuzu came to hold a violent hatred to his village.
Hidan's Reasons:
After Yugakure deteriorated from a shinobi village to a tourist site, Hidan became infuriated with how things were turning out. He believed that the shinobi that resided there were meant to kill, and thus slaughtered his neighbours before leaving Yugakure, and joining the cult-like faith known as Jashin.
Deidara's Reasons:
During his days as a shinobi in Iwagakure, Deidara was a member of the Explosion Corps, and possessed the Explosion Release kekkei genkai. Deidara was also praised highly for his clay sculptures. However, he still desired to reach even greater heights. At first, he simply focused on creating more and more works, but before long, he started craving a kinjutsu. He eventually stole it and left the village.
Sasori's Reasons:
When Sasori was young, his father and mother were killed by Sakumo Hatake, leaving him with no one but his grandmother, Chiyo, to take care of him. Lacking a real family he left the village at fifteen and simply became a missing-nin.
Pain/Nagato's Reasons:
Experienced endless pain, from the death of his parents in front of his eyes to the choice between his best friend's lives. Losing everything and living in a place of war he was simply engulfed by it all till it consumed him.
Konan's Reason:
She's Pain's bitch
Tobi's Reason:
The fall of the uchiha and the betrayal of the senju's. He created the akatsuki (the real agenda) the eye of the moon plan to create a world without lies.
Orochimaru's Reason:
Because he's a top-class villian and he had to join the group to prove that he could get in even if he wanted to.
Zetsu's Reason:
Because he's a boss and has no emotional attachment to anything or anyone apart from good tobi
