Naruto is literally the only person that can withstand Sasuke's Genjutsu or even put a stop to sasuke

Current Situation:

No more Sharingans
No more Rinnegans
No more Senju
No More Uchiha
No More people knowledgeable about the Sage Except Oro (Barely knows much)
Bijuu are Trapped
IT still in effect
All Edo Kage are gone
Sage is Gone

In the EVENT that Sasuke kills Naruto and starts his revolution... No would would be strong enough to beat Sasuke or withstand his genjutsu

obviously you haven't been reading the manga.... He been hinting about it since the Kage meet... After hashirama talk he realized the system needed to be re-done.. going by NV time HAHA.. considering that was LONG ago in real time is what I mean since the writer took forever

He would first have to beat Madara but I don't think he could have alone. After that another problem was Kaguya he couldn't beat her alone. So he would have to help Naruto so that both of them can seal her. I remember he tried to save him from falling into the lava and gave him priority over Kakashi and Sakura. Now that Kaguya and Madara are gone, Naruto is the only one who can stop him. So he couldn't really initiate this plan earlier. He HAD to wait at least that's what I think.

I agree with you perfectly... It just so happens that Rinnegan powerup AND all threats being erased just made the deal that much sweeter for him

While true, remember what happened last time everyone said this about Sakura and Kakashi when team 7 was fighting kaguya. You never never know what role they will play.
