I first came on to this post thinking it would be a waste of time and it was actually quite good... and apparently needed, who knew!
It’s quite obvious he didn’t just get the title for beating the commanders, anyone who thinks that must be licking windows whilst reading this story or something...
Although i’m still in the disbelief that Oda makes him an official Yonko, he’s either seriously rushing the story, which in turn doesn’t completely then have it make sense, or it was just a statement by Morgan and the world doesn’t take it seriously.
I mean one of the things that Luffy always had and always hyped his character was that he was the underdog. Now he won’t always be it, but for now I can’t see him beating everyone in his path as easy as a “Yonko” should, I mean we saw his clash with Big Mom, his strength in comparison is laughable. But with his shiny new title if he does have it, he’ll be taken seriously and would probably be put down straight away :/
