No doubt Lampard is the better footballer but theres more to it if you want to be a great captain and I mentioned those things already in my previous post.
Terry made a few off-field mistakes but I always wonder why terry gets demonized the most. Gerrard goes around punching people in bars, Ryan Giggs bangs his BROTHERS wife but nobody gives a crap. Those things are at least equally bad if not even worse. I don't even really care, the football he plays is what really matters. U_U
Oscar isn't a bad player, he plays well and is young. He has a bright future ahead, especially if he's staying with us.
Ferdinand better than Terry? Are you joking? Even Carragher recently said that he thinks JT is the best defender around. He's better than Ferdinand defensively and far far far better offensively. He's much better in the air and also the stronger player. This isn't even close.

But then again Giggs mistake is by far the worst.
You're right on pitch performances comes first, but it differs when you're captain. A captain must be role model off and on the pitch.

Overrated, overpriced and inconsistent. I don't see any bright future ahead of him, Mourinho wants to make the new Lampard out of him but no way that will happen, not even half the player Lamps was.
My man Coutinho plays far superior football than this guy, and he's a year younger.
JT is better offensively but Ferdinand was better defensively and physically... Rarely does any mistake. Just my opinion though.
