Recently, there was a very, very sexist thread on this forum, and I'd like to talk about it as well as briefly about the original topic of discussion.

Put short, the thread was about how "girls dress slutty to get attention from guys but then get upset when they do get it", and not only was there almost unanimous consensus on that statement, (which is total bull), but it only got worse. People started talking about how rape victims were "asking for it" because of the way they were dressed, and how women are inferior to men, and, wow. Not only was it sexist against women, cause, women aren't objects (wow, that's a hard concept to grasp, right?), but most of the opinions in the thread leaned towards the stereotype that men are mindless *** objects that can't keep it in their pants and turn stupid when they see a woman. Like seriously, that's not how things work. I'm kinda disappointed in you guys.

What is your opinion on this matter, and on the way it was handled in this thread?

The women's logic thing are usually just jokes, not to be taken seriously. There's men's logic jokes too.

The topic at hand is determined by the person's frontal lobe development and their ideals.

Everyone is responsible for that behavior because of all the licentious magazines and shows that are on today.

Many women who dress like that tend to have low self-esteem. They feel beautiful/hot when they show off everything, and they become so used to dressing like that that they can't dress any other way or it will make them feel unattractive. Many just want to be seen as attractive, which is why they can respond negatively when guys actually approach in inappropriate ways. They want attention, and they don't want it at the same time.

And then when men look at them like they're attractive, they react negatively. And thus, the problem/women's logic joke is born.

Some girls think thats the only way to get attention from guys. Usually a sign of insecurity. But when you give them the attention, they want it to be towards them and not just their body obviously. There are plenty that dont seem to mind either way though

Your absolutly right. I was having a heated debate with the guy who started that thread and all i have to say is that hes an immature kid, who doesnt know what hes talking about. I guess we just have to accept the fact that NB is full of ignornt dicks.
