i usually use "isohunt.com" to torrent them into "utorrent". but isn't "limewire" a nesting ground for viruses?

You want no subs at all? If your using Window's media player and you have a mkv codec installed etc. you can go to options->performance and turn the Video acceleration to 'None' and the subtitles will not play. I think that's what your after?
