To be completely honest. I have absolutely no clue about lighting, I'm guessing you need great precision and delicatesy. I want to learn lighting because of azula to be truthful. And I can imagine myself using lighting to its fullest potential.
Go look up on the wikia and use that as a guide. It should explain to you what it is, and come back here and post it in your own words.

Lighting release is one of the 5 basic elements a shinobi can learn. it's superior to earth, and inferior to wind. Fire and lightning are neutral. Lighting can be enhanced by water, because it is a conductor (which will cause more damage). Lightning is stronger than doton because, it can travel through it and destroy it. It is inferior because wind is a natural insulator, it insulates the lighting. Lightning can be refined into a sharp weapon for you in battle lighting. It can also be used in multiple distances in fighting. You can use it in CQC (chidori) and you can use it in mid - long range. (Shape manipulation spikes) which sasuke showed or kirin. Lightning can also be very lethal. You can be paralyzed, cut in half/have limbs cut off/decapitation, or have a giant hole on your body. Lighting is an technique that can greatly help you on the battlefield.

In Raiton techniques, there is always some level of discharge showing the lightning’s rebellious and difficult to control nature. The speed generated by lightning doesn't only increase its instability but it can also increase properties such as sharpness. The radip flow of molecules being condensed to vibrate at high frequencies and speed allow for applications on bladed weapons. Take Sasuke's use of lightning with his katana, or Ameyuri Ringo, one of the seven swordsmen of the mist with her blades, Kiba. Lighting is added to those blades which increases their ability to slice through almost anything like butter. Though this isn't the only practical use for lightning, there is also the properties of electrocution. The amount of electricity a lightning technique possesses can cause so much damage from paralyzing one's opponent to completely overloading their bodies with electricity and killing instantly. Some cases (as suspected with Kirin though never proven), the complete obliteration of one's opponent. Not only electrocution but heat. One generally thinks of Fire when the word heat is brought up, however why is that? Higher energy is generated when molecules move more rapidly. As mentioned before, those within lightning and electricity move at great speeds, thus allowing for burns to be generated with lightning release as well, however that's not commonly thought of.

After I take the paper from my master, I go sit by a nearby stream. I begin to feel insecure about my training and start to give up. But I remember a great ninja will never give up no matter what. I begin to think about what master told me about lighting. It's weak against wind and strong against earth. I envision myself on the moon, where there is no wind but just earth. I start to drift off in state of complete calmness, But a rapid strike of lightning dashed through my mind, ending the calmness. Lighting isn't calm nor peaceful, it's the complete opposite wild and fierce. My heart is beating faster and faster and I start to sweat. I start to feel vibrations in my chakra. I feel a slight shock in my hands and I open my eyes. Master I did it, I crumbled the paper.

- 2. The justu will be effective against earth
- 3. The justu is simple to use
- 1. The justu is inherently weak against wind
- 2. This justu is a D rank, which means it can be countered easily by your opponent
- 3. It lacks the power to do heavy damage, so I will have to use this wisely
How you would counter it: A simple D rank wind style can easily counter this. Wind is stronger than lighting naturally.
How you perform it (with as much detail as you can): I would perform this at the right time defiantly. I will use this justu where it can used. I wouldn't just use this justu just to be using it, that will be just waisting my chakra. This type of justu can be used as a start up for me to follow up with a stronger justu. And if I was battling, I wouldn't use this against windstyle.
After I received this justu from master I start to mold my chakra. I start to remember my training from before. Ration is strong against earth and weak against wind. I envision myself on a open field with no wind to interrupt me.

How you would counter it:Just simply jump. Or throw a kunai at him/her. You don't really need a justu to counter this.
How you perform it (with as much detail as you can): I will perform this technique in a close range fight only. Once I stun my opponent, it will give me the chance to attack them with a stronger justu.

One/three advantages:
- 1. This justu can be used against taijustu users, and it will be very effective despite its rank.
- 2. The justu is close range. A lot people focus on range techniques more by nature. So if you don't have close range attacks you will be in a disadvantage against someone who primarily fights in close range.
- 3. The justu can be used defensively and offensively. It also gives you a chance to land another attack while your opponent is in shock.
- 1. The technique leaves you wide open for attacks since you will be bending down. (Which will limit your mobility in fight)
- 2. This techniques has a short range. So you will have to get close or let them get close. But the fight might be over by then if you're waiting just to use this technique. Which won't even do tjat much damage.
- 3. This technique is easily dodged by just jumping. It doesn't take that much to escape this.
How you would counter it:Just simply jump. Or throw a kunai at him/her. You don't really need a justu to counter this.

How you would counter it: Any type of water wall or wind shield. This justu is stronger than the the techniques you gave me previously. But I would still use a substitution to escape it, if it was me.
How you perform it (with as much detail as you can): As my opponent rushes me I would quickly wave my hand at them creating bolts of lighting striking them head to toe. While they stand there getting I blasted by the bolts, I would send a surge of lighting through the ground immobilizing them.
I start to build up small amounts of my chakra in my right hand. (Rembering my training and the precision needed for it) I'm lighting itself!
*my hand is whipped through the air releasing bolts of lighting instantly striking your clones head to toe* Your clones are no match against my lighting. I will destroy all of them.

- 1. The justu seems like a pretty reliable justu despite it ranks
- 2. The justu also seems like a technique you can instantly do against someone
- 3. You can also use this as a distraction. While your opponent is focusing on the bolts, you can send a surge of lighting through the ground stunning them
- 1. The justu doesn't seem to have many weaknesses. It's weak against wind
- 2. The justu is limited to a short-mid range attack range
- 3.It lacks a strong impact ability
