Rate these characters in terms of combat intelligence

Kakashi was stated by Gai to be the best in battle intelligence.. and that's the only canon statement about that we've heard. Even Naruto at the beggining of shippuden states that Kakashi is smarter than Shikamaru. And of course, Kakashi has by far the best feats of the whole manga in battle intelligence.

Because feats are far more important than hype. And if you're looking at the manga and asking who has the greatest combat IQ, you have to go off of feats.

What you're doing is equivalent to someone calling Hiruzen as strong as Hashirama because he had someone else hype him the same way Hashirama was hyped.

Shikamaru may be as hyped as Kakashi but he certainly is no where near his level in feats.

No one is on Kakashi's level, or even close, in feats. Not in amount of combat IQ feats or in terms of how impressive his feats are. The reason the god of the Narutoverse was defeated is because Kakashi planned it. That ends the conversation alone. Factoring in everything else is just icing on the cake.

Lol up until the final fight Shikamaru's feats were perfectly on par, and again its not hype if Shikamaru's feats surprised Kakashi as well as saved his life.

But yeah I guess including the last fight Kakashi takes it.
