I agree with you, Kirin is faster but the preparation for it takes way longer, that being said I dont know if naruto is smart enough to know that lightning attacks that go into the air is set up for a crazier attack. So technique wise I think
rasenshuriken > Kirin
But intelligence wise
Sauskes intelligence > narutos intelligence

If Kirin and Rasenshuriken are launched at the same time, then of course Kirin would win. There would be no expansion of the Rasenshuriken and it wouldn't get stronger because it would be colliding with energy, not a physical form. Plus, even if wind is stronger than lightening, it still doesn't negate the fact that Kirin has an energy capacity of billions and billions of joules. Even if they collided, there would be so much energy from the Kirin that it would go right through.

Kirin is obviously stronger but the thing is it only lasts for 1 hit while rasen shuriken is nearly a 1 hit kill anyway and can be used multiple times.

Kirin is the stronger technique, irrelevant of nature weaknesses. For example water is strong against fire, but a bonfire beats a bucket of water. Kirin is so much more powerful than the rasenshuriken in destruction respect, yes rasenshuriken destroys you at a cellular level, but kirin would blow you across the four corners of konoha...
Practical use in battle goes to the rasenshuriken though, more can be produced, and at a much quicker rate.
If sasuke could play the waiting game to set himself up for kirin naruto would be in trouble, but narutos at a stage where it wouldnt be easy to keep him at bay for long now

Lightning is strong against earth. But in this case, weaknesses don't matter because Kirin is so powerful and its using nature chakra.

One preparation time for kirin is too long, relies on thunder clouds and requires extensive chakras...Rasenshurikens on the other hand are prepared like rasengans...have some mini variations which are powerful as well...

you guys don't get it.. techniques are not just defined by raw power.. you have to see its overall performance. in terms of raw power sure kirin would beat rasenshuriken anytime, but in terms of effectiveness in a battle kirin is a joke.. before kirin user can even prepare the environment, several RS will hit his butt. its effect to a person is just the same, if you get hit by one of this sure death awaits.

Besides, Kirin is just controlling lightning towards the target - that is all...how do someone dodge lightning?so if i were naruto i would wrap myself in a big condom bag so that the electricity would not be conducted in my body...
