Let's be real here.
Why does Kakashi bust a nut the first time he sees this move? It's not even perfected yet. He goes as far to say that Naruto had surpassed him then and there - during the Kakuzu/Hidan Arc!
We all know that's BS, because Kakashi could literally Kamui zap Naruto before he could do anything, but why would he say that?
It's because Rasenshuriken is one of the most absolutely lethal moves ever created. It's not just a jutsu that ends a fight; it's a jutsu that ends a Shinobi's entire career. If it doesn't kill you, you're out of commission regardless - it shreds your chakra net to pieces.
Meaning, yeah - get with it, kill shot or no, you're finished.
I think its speed is really underrated as well. This is an attack that a Juubi Jin Madara couldn't out blitz - see for yourself;
