Before kishi shitted on it chidori had limits to how many times u use it in a day rasengan can be used endlessly till u run out of chakra

You basically added other versions when you said wind. Normal rasengan has no elemental affinity.

The rasengan wins 10/10 times. The Rasengan is pure chakra in its highest form of control and density. Chidori is simple chakra control combined with chakra nature manipulation. Even without the variations, the rasengan is an S-Class (or A, I'll let you choose) jutsu that requires hard training to learn, while the chidori is about a B-Class jutsu. It doesn't take too long to learn, you just take step 1 from learning the Rasengan and throw in some lightning chakra.

Rasengan is not just a crushing and grinding attack; it is also an explosive attack and damages internally!! U_U

Rasengan is extremely advance shape manipulation and is an incomplete jutsu since Minato intended that it be added with an element so you can say FRS is a complete Rasengan along with the variation Naruto used in RM. Kakashi couldn't add his lightning chakra to Rasengan so created Chidori. Chidori is both shape and nature manipulation as is FRS, lightning blade is an improved version that Kakashi made with better chakra control. Once you look at the complete forms of both jutsus, Rasengan is more impressive.

Another thing is, like how Raikiri is a stronger Chidori via chakra control, Oodama Rasengan can be the same for Rasengan and there's also many stronger variations such as Chou Oodama Rasengan.

first off, it seems to cost less chakra.
second, you donʻt need the sharingan or to run in a straight line in order to use it.
Third, your hand doesnʻt actually touch the target, unlike chidori, so thereʻs less of a chance that youʻll mess yourself up if youʻre attacking something dangerous
Fourth, bigger AoE, if i want to climb through an obstacle, rasengan will blow it open, chidori will probably leave a fist-sized hole in it.
