I beg to differ, Nardo used the transformation jutsu and transformed into a rasenshuriken to fool the preta path into trying to absorb him, and it can be thrown. chidori does have some variety, but as far as I can tell Chidori can only either pierce or cut.

To even forming Oodama rasengans with the kyuubi's tails and handing them off to his teammates, I'd love to see Chidori do something like that

If you're referring to the final valley clash no it didn't. It was a stalemate except Sasuke went the intent to finish him while Naruto scratched his headband.

I know that we've come to terms with each others opinions but seriously Chidori either perces or cuts you, chidori current is basically like a full body chidori but Naruto has formed a huge Rasengan on his back which imho is basically a full body rasengan. Naruto can also transform a clone or himself into a rasenshuriken distracting you from the real deal.

So I don't get what you mean when you say it can't be worked into a strategy. Sure Chidori has variety, but rasengan and it's variants have just as much, if not more so.

Last I checked fourth Raikage tanked chidori low diff, Nardo with rasengan 1 shotted the third raikage low diff, for the ppl saying Chidori is stronger, remember kakashi created it after he failed to combine raiton with rasengan.

I think he was actually damaged by the rasenshuriken but it's damage was able to be healed, kinda like how Maddy's edo form could still mold chakra after taking an Oodama rasenshuriken.
