His name is Kendrick Lamar, lil dude from Compton who started making noise in early 2011 telling tales of his life growing up in that lifestyle and his album dropped a few months back in October. he's blowing up fast and his content and flow is 10x better than all of YMCMB but I'll let you NBers be the judge of that.
