Zoro doesn't need running away from your opponent kind of speed. He fights like a man by attacking you straight when you come to his path. Sure if Kuma runs away like Pica was doing, Zoro won't catch him, but if he fights like a man, Zoro will defeat him

And kuma doesn't have to run away he can easily teleport out of the way if zoro tries to attack him and continuesly do this zoro needs to land multiple hits on kuma whereas kuma just needs one hit.... Zoro's reaction and attacking speed is greater than Kuma's attacking speed. Hell he could even dodge him preskip while being heavily injured lol and cut him down before he could move away shortly even before he could notice his presence. Post-skip Zoro will tear him apart especially when preskip Shishisonson could damage him lol

PS: Uzumaki Macho is right though. Kuma doesn't teleport. He just moves fast from places to places by using his paws to close to instantaneously reach another position. I just use the word "teleport" more because it's easier for the comprehension

What do you mean by chance? It was totally up to Kuma whether to kill them all or not. Kuma respected Zoro's wish and accepted it. It can be clearly seen that Kuma is a man of pride from his words to Zoro when he was about to repel Luffy's damage. He said something like " If I still lay a finger on him , my honer would be at stake" or something along these lines when Zoro questioned him if he'd keep him promise after his death. Kuma simply held some respect for a man who's resolved to die for his men. And I said no such a thing as Kuma is currently stronger than Zoro. I am definitely not one of those who over hype Kuma without any valid reason. My point all along was that he was holding himself back when he fought Zoro. It doesn't prevent him from being weaker than current Zoro.

Robin simply said haki doesn't stop fruit users from using their ability unlike sea stone but it can counter them/resist them/render them useless for it is the only effective method to battle almost any fruit user. As you already know you can't stop a logia from going intangible but you can still touch him. Likewise you can't stop Kuma from using his ability but you might be able to counter it with haki. Although I am not sure if it can counter Kuma's ability, I am sure the possibility is there.
