No way in hell Doflamingo would die at 80% health and strength. He said he repaired his organs, and also made it clear that they weren't healing, meaning the damage is still there. What he did didn't reverse or negate the damage done to them, he just kept them functioning. People don't seem to grasp that Doflamingo would have died if he didn't stitch his organs together. He's far closer to 0% than 80%. The only reason he's still alive is that his organs are being held together by strings. Remove that, and he dies.

So according to you a dying guy keeps getting up after a punch that sent him miles into dressrosa? wow.

According to you, having your organs shredded apart and held together by strings only costs you 20% of your health and doesn't bring you close to death, or that 80% of your health=death.. Bear in mind that even though they're superhuman, destroyed organs still matter(Ace said he knew he was gonna die because his organs were burnt up). Now, which one makes more sense

There's no proof to say he couldn't either... There's a reason Luffy has mentioned Doflamingo's injuries...it's to show Doflamingo isn't anywhere near 100% right now which makes sense since while Luffy is strong he's not as strong as 100% Doflamingo even with Gear 4th.

No but it can leave someone incredibly exhausted do you grasp how serious damaged internal organs are?

Baseless... There's no evidence to suggest this, If Oda wanted to portray this he wouldn't have had Law help nor would he have waited till now to show Gear 4th he would have used it at the start of the fight when they were both at 100%. Oda has clearly portrayed Luffy using Dolfamingo's weakened state as an advantage.

Luffy pretty much says it himself...

Except Luffy is also heavily injured. You keep bringing up Doffy but completely ignore that the author went out of his way to portray them both being heavily injured.

No the reason Law did as much to Doffy as he did was because Law was the one who needed to avenge Corazon. Did you really think Oda was just going let Law do nothing and let Luffy completely solo even though he has history with Mingo? It is for that very reason the fight has even lasted this long. Luffy and DD have only had short skirmishes til now, he even split the two of them up and weakened them both.

They are both heavily injured, but Doffy was clearly injured. The extent of Luffy's external injuries left him standing up and breathing hard for a few seconds. Doffy's brought him a few seconds from death.

Luffys injuries were noticeable enough for the author to point them out, so they obviously aren't as minor as some on here think. Doffy was a few seconds from death, but he clearly isn't now with the strings holding his organs in place. He literally stood up like nothing happened after he stitched himself together.

That just means he can tolerate the pain and damage well, but not that the damage won't kill him. Luffy's injuries were noticeable, but they weren't on the level of almost dying. The only thing keeping Doffy alive is that his strings are holding his organs together, he'd die if that were removed. There isn't any external factor keeping Luffy from dying from his injuries.

Your right I guess. But this doesn't seem to affect his power at all, just maybe his durability, its really not enough to say that 100% DD is > G4 Luffy. Especially knowing he has failed to harm Luffy even a little while Luffy has been dominating.

People can't accept that Luffy is stronger than they thought and honestly they shouldn't expect any less from someone whos going to be fighting Yonkos in the next arc. Why do you think 100% DD is > G4? I want to know your opinion about it.

He's not gonna be able to move the same way as he can with his body at 100%, and Doflamingo has a fighting style heavily based on his movement, so it's gonna affect his combat ability. His reaction speed has also taken a dip.

It's not that people can't accept Luffy is stronger than they thought, but if Luffy is only contending with Doflamingo while he's close to 0%, then obviously a 100% Doffy is gonna be above a 100% Luffy.

Except he's doing much more then contending, he's dominating. And if the spoilers for 785 are any indication then he's about to win with this lion bazooka. And honestly if DD didn't block that Kong gun and without haki the fight would have probably been over right there, Luffy has managed to hurt DD even though he was guarding with Haki. But yet for the sake of argument, a weakened Doffy who is supposedly almost 0 has done nothing to any avail to G4.

With that being said, there is no contending on Luffys part its been one sided since G4. He's practically doing what a 100% Doflamingo would do to his hypothetically weakened self.

Doflamingo is at 50%, not close to 0%.

Well that's kind of what Oda implied they both were. But of course people think he's almost zero even though if that was the case he would surely already be dead. But its whatever, its like I said, Luffy is severely underestimated.

The big difference is Luffy's injuries were off Bellemy...while Doflamingo has had his organs ripped apart, took a counter shock from point blank range and also took a red hawk to the gut. I think some people are underestimating just how badly injured someone would be having their organs ripped apart...

If a 100% Luffy was stronger than a 100% Doflamingo then Oda would have had them battle with no interruptions from the get go, I don't see why people are say opposed to the idea of Doflamingo being stronger than Luffy...I mean Doflamingo is like a huge player in the New World it makes perfect sense that two supernova's would be needed to take him down.

Nah I'd say it's more like:

Luffy: 80%
Doflamingo: 40% - 50%

This seems to be your own interpretation of how you feel Oda decided to go with this fight. In my opinion, Luffy could have likely beat DD on his own if he went G4 from the start. But then what the hell would Law do? He is the one who has history with Mingo, he should at least hurt him in someway for what he did to Corazon. Oda needed Law to get vengeance, but he didn't want him outshowing the MC either by having him solo. He even made sure the readers knew they were both injured before the fight started.

And its also very important to note what state Luffy was in when he was hurt, he didn't want to fight and his toughest form is in G4. So he wasn't even using anything close to his full power when he got hurt.

How badly Doflamingo's health would affect the fight would depend on how Oda will emphasize on it during the final stage of the battle. Anything else is a baseless speculation. I rate Doflamingo higher than Luffy mainly because i believe that if Oda really wanted Luffy to solo Doflamingo, he'd not have involved Law for him to affect Doflamingo's health but at this point, anything can be possible, so i'd wait for the arc ending finisher to make my ultimate decision

Well its like I said in my previous post. Law has history with Mingo and is a very capable fighter in his own right. It would not make any sense for him to have Law there and just have him sit there and do nothing even though he wanted to avenge Cora san. Oda obviously need someway for Law to get payback without having him completely win, because that's his MCs job to beat the big bad as he has shown time and time again.

Doflamingo was close to death. He would have inevitably died had his organs not been stringed together. Anyone who's close to death is close to 0%. You do not die at anything more than 0%. He also didn't undo or negate any of the damage he took.

To be honest, I don't think even then we'll be able to say how badly Doflamingo's health affected the fight because one can always say "We don't know how well he would have fared at 100% because we never saw him go all out at 100%."

His awakening is his 100%. The only thing that's not 100% is his health which hasn't shown to affect his abilities much.

Actually, it's not like Oda hasn't gone that route before. Neptune and the Fishmen had more history with Hody. Brownbeard had more history with Caesar. Nami had more history with Arlong. Vivi had more history with Crocodile. Yet, Luffy defeated them without any of those people assisting to the fight. Law assisting is far more significant than simply his history with Mingo, though his history with Mingo adds to why Law assisting is good writing.
