*I begin by gathering my raiton chakra into my right hand. Once I've gathered enough I then proceed to form it into bolts of lightning that surround my right forearm. I quickly run up to a group of rock structures and jump towards them, slamming my palm right in front of them as I land. This causes the bolts to be discharged into the ground and spread out in the surrounding area of 5 meters, breaking apart the rock structures.*

Advantages: This technique has a great area of effect. One may use this to their advantage if they were to be outnumbered by clones or enemies. It inflicts a decent amount of damage, requires no hand seals and has decent range.

Disadvantages: This jutsu, although having a good area of effect, is only limited to a 5 meter radius in their vicinity and so the user must be weary of how far the target is from them. The user also has to make contact with the ground for this technique to work.

Description: The user manipulates their chakra and then releases it in front of them whilst holding their hands out and they generate a wall of lightning energy that can defend against certain techniques. The user can use this defence to shock enemy targets who attempt close range combat and deliver a small electrical shock that can temporarily reduce their physical capabilities.

Gather your lightning chakra and hold out both your hands infront of you. Channel the chakra through your arms and release it from the palms of your hands and materialize a wall of lightning energy infront of you able to defend you from a variety of attacks or just shock the opponent if they get too close, pretty straightforward.

*I begin by gathering my raiton chakra up, while holding out both of my hands steadily. I then channel my chakra through my arms and proceed to release it from the palms of my hands, materializing a wall of lightning energy in front of me.*

Advantages: Great means of defense from the enemies' attacks and this is especially effective on enemies that use taijutsu or close quarters attacks a lot. It doesn't cost that much chakra, and if the enemy is shocked by this technique it could reduce their physical power momentarily, such as how hard they may swing their sword or throw a punch or kick.

Disadvantages: This technique really does no severe damage that would injure the opponent, it has a short range obviously and if the user's enemy were a long ranged based fighter then the user could not rely on the shocking portion of this technique to help them in battle.

Good job, now I want you to do the same thing you did when you finished D-Ranks. Create a move like you would when starting a battle and use atleast one C-Rank lightning technique in that move.

While you are trapped I then quickly perform the hand seals Dragon → Tiger , summoning a large body of water that takes the shape of a dragon when I send it towards you. As it's heading towards you, the distance between us being of about 6 to 7 meters, I perform one hand seal, gather a large amount of futon chakra up and release it into a large sphere of wind chakra that combines itself with the water dragon enhancing it's strength. - I like your creativity with the residue of the water empowering your lightning ball but I'm gonna be blunt about it and say that won't work in actual battle, had you used electromagnetic murder on the water dragon you created you would have sent a B-Rank water/lightning combo towards me.
- Also, try to avoid launching an attack that's too straightforward since if I were to counter your move I would just have to use a jutsu to get out of swamp while I have a clear sight of your follow up attack allowing me to easily counter your entire move.

However, since you first have to send electrical essence into the sky your opponent will see it coming but there's a way to prevent that. You can randomly at any point in a battle state that you send an electrical essence into the clouds without posting a move and then like a turn later you can just let the lightning strike your opponent without first having to send the electrical essence into the clouds.

This is one of the most useful lightning jutsu, commonly used in conjunction with gushing water imprisonment. Perform the hand seals Ram → Boar → Dog → Bird → Hare and cause four giant pillars to emerge from the ground around your opponent, leaving them in the center of the formation and then have bolts of lightning shoot out from the pillars from all directions simultanously binding your target into place while shocking them.

Advantages: Has a good range of 0-10 meters, does good damage. The user can have pinpoint accuracy with this technique and can send multiple lightning strikes at the desired locations.

Disadvantages: If there were no clouds in the area then this technique would not work.

How you would defend yourself from this technique: Simply dodging it is out of the question since it's a lightning bolt, so I'd have to use a technique that would protect me from it head on, such as the lightning wall technique or something that could encase me completely. Take a look at the size of four pillar-bind, that won't work lol. Best way to defend from it is using a technique which covers your body, like plasma ball which creates a barrier of lightning.. you'll learn it later on in the B-Ranks. Another common way to counter it is using peacock whirlwind, atleast if you got a sword since that's a requirement to use the technique.

The better version of Electromagnetic Murder, a technique which you might aswell forget now you get this one. Gather lightning chakra within your hands and hold them out and then release from your hands a wave of lightning. This technique is particulary useful when used in conjunction with a water technique or any other element which can guide lightning for that matter since this technique can be used almost instantly after another technique.

Disadvantages: With out the enhanced water jutsu used in conjunction, this technique only does a moderate amount of damage.

How I would defend myself from this technique: By using a strong enough wind technique I may be able to suppress the incoming attack, or by encasing myself within something, not particularly a rock structure because the lightning may just break through that easily enough.

How I would defend myself against this technique: By lifting myself off of the air I may be able to get away from the lightning's path, or by encasing myself within something.

Advantages: Requires no hand seals and does moderate damage. It's a quick projectile to launch as well.

Disadvantages: Only goes up to a range of 0-5 meters, and requires that you use the lightning chakra from the sky/clouds. If this were somehow covered then you would not be able to use this technique.

Advantages: Has a good range and damage, no hand seals required for little prep time and seems to have a good area of effect.

Disadvantages: You have to get your opponent ensnared/trapped first for this technique to work because if your opponent is quick enough they may be able to run out of the area of effect, assuming their speed is very very fast.

How I would defend myself from this technique: The BEST way to avoid this technique completely would be to use any technique that could lift you off of the ground out of the area of effect.

I then channel the chakra outward from both of my palms, creating a rope-like stream of lightning between my two palms. I fix my eyes upon a nearby tree and proceed to whip it with the technique, the tree being burned and cut due to the impact.*

Advantages: Short to mid range, good damage, most notably, this technique may be used as a defensive maneuver to block, say, sword attacks or other weapons of the kind.

Disadvantages: If the user isn't careful they can injure themselves with this technique easily, if their opponent is swift and positions themselves just right.

How to defend myself from this technique: If I were to use a wind enhanced weapon, I would be able to block off the incoming array of swings from the lightning whip.

I then use shape manipulation in order to shape the lightning into a hound, directing it towards the nearby rock structure. The hound races towards the boulder and upon contact, the rock is broken up into little pieces by the technique.*

Advantages: Good range and damage, and because the hound remains connected to your hand by a lightning current, this means that the user could continue to maintain the technique to give chase to an opponent that is trying to get away from the jutsu.

Disadvantages: If the lightning current connecting the user and the hound is somehow severed I'm sure the technique would cease to work because the flow would stop.

How I would defend myself from this technique: By encasing myself inside of something that could withstand the attack itself, or by trying to severe the connecting lightning current.

Although the clone is physical and can strike the opponent it will return to pure lightning chakra when it suffers damage.

I then turn towards a nearby boulder, now having all of the necessary amount of chakra I then proceed to emit a spear of lightning from my mouth headed straight for the rock structure. Upon contact the boulder is smashed completely into many smaller pieces of rock.*

Advantages: Has a very very good range of attack, can split off to attack multiple targets and the user's hands are free when using this technique.

Disadvantages: Since it's a lightning based attack, if the user's enemy were to counter with a wind technique of the same rank the wind technique could overpower this one.

How I would defend myself from this technique: This would be a difficult attack to simply dodge, so the best way would be to cover yourself with an element that could best counter this technique such as wind. I believe there is a technique where one can summon a tornado that envelops and protects you.

I focus hard on the appearance and think about the properties that the clone would take, the clone is then formed from that lightning chakra, to my right.*

Advantages: This technique is a great way to get an advantage over the enemy in numbers, furthermore, the user could pull use their clone to pull off a good combo attack towards the opponent.

Disadvantages: Does no damage, and disperses when damage is taken to the clone itself.
