After watching senpai performing the jutsu Shikamaru was greatly impressed by the way how water and lightning combine to create a devastating effect.

After that as senpai creates his water stream Shikamaru quickly joins his hands at the wrists as if he was going to catch something. Then he channels raw chakra into his palms and applies nature manipulation to convert it into Raiton chakra. Shikamaru then quickly releases all the chakra from his hands while applying shape manipulation in the form of electric current. This electric current is directed towards the stream of water the senpai made. Water stream dissolves the raiton chakra in it as it is a good conductor of electricity and moves towards the shadow clone. As the attack hits clone it isn't even electrocuted but simply disappears in the instant. But real opponent will endure great damage from this attack physically as well as getting electrocuted

Advantages |
1. Needs no hand seals thus quick to use
2. Although a great jutsu in itself but has devastating effect when combined with water
3. When combined with water even Earth based techniques are torn to shreds

Disadvantages |
1. It's short range so needs to be near the opponent which makes the user himself susceptible to attacks
2. Although a great technique but if not used in conjunction with water can easily be countered by D-Rank wind technique
3. Even when united with water can be countered with C-Rank wind technique so that makes it useless against high ranked techs

After listening to senpai's instructions Shikamaru channles raw chakra inside his whole body. Then he applies nature manipulation to convert it into Raiton chakra. After that shikamaru releases all the chakra around his body while applying shape manipulation to form an armor of lightning around his body. When the opponent attacks me according to my understanding of the jutsu this armor should protect me from one hit So I instead of worrying about his attack will pay my attention to attacking him with taijutsu once he is electrocuted. That is my understanding senpai. but I think there might be something else that I don't know. What do you think?

That's easy senpai. As my whole body is covered with lightning and due to the close proximity of the lightning, I become vulnerable to suiton techniques so if I am hit with Water type attack than my opponent might be having a nice barbecue that is if he is cannibal

Also this technique is extremely location based which is difficult to achieve in most of the situations!

(Raiton: Iwa Nadare) - Lightning Style: Stone Avalanche Rank: C Type: Attack Range: Short-Mid Chakra cost: 15 Damage Points: 30 Description: By forming hand seals Snake → Upside down Tiger → Hands clapped together when near a cliff , the user causes stone and rock to become dislodged and rain down on anyone below it by releasing a wave of electrical energy which weakens the rock and makes it fall as it crumbles. However, this is extremely location-based and needs to be done uphill of a mountain for it to work.

After hearing senpai's instructions I focus raw chakra into my feet and and apply nature manipulation to make it into Raiton chakra. After that I start running up to the cliff with quickly performing Snake → Upside down Tiger → Hands clapped seals and then releasing the chakra out of my feet while applying shape manipulation to release it in the form of electric current. This causes the upper layer of the cliff to break down into smaller stones which then roll down the cliff and hit the below standing clone making him disappear.

The next technique is a pretty nice technique! Have you seen a magician levitating objects and making it fly around the spectators? That's what exactly you are going to do now! I need you to channel your lightning chakra into a sword and levitate it in front of you! Now then multiply the sword and create two extra copies and manipulate them to spin rapidly!. Make them fly towards the opponent, Controlling their path and movement and attack the clone!. Also you need to keep your focus on the technique!

"Shikamaru! There is a serious disadvantage to this technique. Can you tell me what it is?"

( Raiton: Inazuma ken Fudou ) - Lightning Release: Lightning Blades Levitation Rank: C Type: Offensive Range: Short – Mid Chakra cost: 15 (-5 per turn) Damage points: 30 Description: The user will channel their lightning chakra into their sword to increase its cutting capabilities, and then levitate it in front of them. They will then multiply the sword creating two extra physical copies which are then all manipulated to spin rapidly and are controlled to fly towards and cut through the opponent/s through hand gestures. While controlling the weapons, the user cannot mold chakra for other techniques and needs to keep focus.

After hearing his senpai's new instructions. Shikamaru takes out his sword and channles it with raw chakra. He then applies nature manipulation to convert ti into Raiton chakra. After that he makes this sword levitate in front of him with the help of chakra control. Shikamaru then focuses his chakra and creates to exact copies of sword in front of him and makes them rotate. After that shikamaru directs the rotating swords towards senpai's clone. The swords are kept rotating through chakracontrol and upon reaching the clone they slice him into pieces and makes him vanish.

Disadvantages |
1. This technique is only useful in certain situations
2. It require some step to to perform So is quite slow
3. This technique requires sometime to be performed. And even then you cannot mold chakra or do anything else instead of controlling swords until they hit opponent. So during that time opponent can devise some defense strategy. He can also create some clones and the best I could do is counter three of them. So if there is anyone else then he will just attack me while me being completely susceptible to attack. And if I stop the attack to counter other person then that will just be waste of chakra

Then you have to slam your palm onto the ground causing the electrical energy to become discharged sending out bolts of lightning into the ground around you upto 5 meters.

"There is nothing great with this technique; However, you can easily overpower any Tai based opponent who is constantly overpowering you with Close quarters combat!. Performance alone will suffice for this one! ^^"

( Raiton: Denki Railanshō ) - Lightning Release: Electric Discharge Palm Rank: C Type: Offensive Range: Short Chakra cost: 15 Damage points: 30 Description: The user will manipulate their lightning chakra in their dominant hand generating electrical bolts of lightning around their forearm. The user will then slam their palm onto the ground causing the electrical energy to become discharged sending out bolts of lightning into the ground and around them up to 5 meters.

After that shikamaru releases the chakra a little to form bolts of lightning surrounding his arm. Then he quickly slams his palm on the ground while applying shape manipulation to release lightning discharges out of the ground surrounding him upto five meters of height. And since you didn't send any clone to attack me so it is chakra wasted

User need a constant flow of chakra to be able to perform this technique, so he need to keep his hands/weapon up 4. While sending chakra to sky user is open to attacks

All in all I would say Lightning Release: Large Electrical Discharge Technique is a better jutsu. Only differnce that it has is requirement of one hand seal and that doesn't take much time. It has more range than the other jutsu. And it doesn't require clouds (at least description doesn't say so). So it is far better jutsu

By doing this, the user generates a wall of lightning energy that can defend against certain techniques. The user can use this defence to shock enemy targets who attempt close range combat and deliver massive shocks to anything that comes in contact with it.

(Raiton: Reijingu Sandā) - Lightning Style: Raging Thunder Rank: B Type: Attack Range: Short Chakra cost: 20 Damage Points: 40 Description: The user creates a half shaped dome of lightning that can be pushed forward in a similar way to a "wave of lightning" attack. It has both paralyzing and shocking properties as well as physical momentum.

As the clone draws near Shikamaru he quickly releases the chakra from his hand while applying shape manipulation to create a wall of lightning in front of him. Clones take out for the punch and collides with the lightning wall getting electrocuted and disappears

B ranked Earth Rock | This will definitely get blocked or I should say broken into pieces.
C ranked Fire stream | According to my knowledge fire augments lightning So that would be dangerous for my self
B ranked Lightning Ball | When this is going to collide with the lightning wall many discharges of lightning are going to be released making myself electrocuted

After that shikamaru quickly starts gathering raw chakra into his hands and applies nature manipulation to convert it into Raiton chakra. After that shikamaru releases the chakra out of his hands all at once while applying shape manipulation to create a half dome shaped structure of lightning. Then shikamaru using his chakra propels this dome towards senpai's clone making him electrocuted and disappearing.

1. Short range so user is in easy attack range of opponent
2. Can easily be countered by C-Rank Wind technique

If I am attacked by a clone I will have to release the jutsu causing a complete chakra waste and leaving me in even more damage as now that jutsu is released the opponent himself will be able to attack
4. Despite being countered by C-Rank technique if opponent uses A-Rank wind technique it will get overwhelmed leaving me susceptible to attack
5. If a strong water stream is used against this technique from mid range It will backfire and will be converted into Lightning Release: Electromagnetic Murder now directed at me. It is actually quite funny that techs name resembles with the situation that user will be in

Good good! But when the lightning ball clashes with the Lightning wall, Both of em will just be cancelled lol. You won't get electrocuted! .

Next technique!. This one is a pretty handy technique and can be said as a basic version of Chidori sharp sphere!. At first you have gather Lightning chakra around your fist and then generate a sphere of pure lightning around it. You can then punch the target unleashing the lightning in the form of a localized electrical explosion!

The user can then punch a target, unleashing the lightning in the form of a localized electrical explosion.

Next one is almost similar to the C rank version of this technique!. All you have to do is perform the Rabbit → Dog → Boar → Ram → Rat hand seal and generate a large amount of lightning from your hands. You can either pass this lightning through a conductive medium or release it in an unfocused manner!. When you use it in conjugation with a water technique, You can increase the damage and destructive capability of the water technique drastically!. Pretty nice technique. Though there is a slight disadvanage for this technique. Only, Storm release users and Yin-Yang user can use both the water and Lightning at the same time. Other normal users can use it only with the help of a clone or an ally!.

(Raiton: Kangekiha) – Lightning Release: Wave of Inspiration Rank: B Type: Offensive Range: Short-Long Chakra cost: 20 Damage point: 40 (+20 to Water Technique) Description: After doing the Rabbit → Dog → Boar → Ram → Rat hand seals, the user generates a large amount of lightning from their hands, which can then be either released in an unfocused manner or passed through conductive materials to improve the electrical power of the technique, namely in conjunction with Water Techniques. In fact, certain users have showed that its possible to, if the user has the ability to mold both Water and Lightning chakras at the same time (for example, Darui who has Storm Release), unleash this particular technique at the same time as they exhale/spit some water technique (which needs to consist of a stream of water), combining both in a seemingly consecutive move. Other ninjas will need to use a clone or an ally for the same effect.

Then shikamaru starts running towards his opponent and starts gathering raw chakra around his fist he quickly applies nature manipulation to convert chakra into Raiton chakra. The chakra is converted into a sphere of lightning with sparks coming out of it. As shikamaru reaches the clone he is still Struggling to get out of the trap. As shikamaru knows that clone won't be able to dodge his attack he quickly reaches the clone and releases all the chakra while applying shape manipulation to releases several localized electrical explosions. The clone is electrocuted and disappears immediately after that attack

He then applies nature manipulation to convert it into Raiton chakra. After that as senpai releases a stream of water from his mouth shikamaru quickly releases his chakra while applying shape manipulation in the form of electric current into the stream of water. This electricity containing stream of water reaches the clone and immediately makes him disappear with a devastating not even wasting a moment.

Alright then. Now the next two techniques are pretty interesting techniques. The four pillar and the sixteen pillar bind. I suppose you have seen the Pain invasion arc on Konoha? Did you see the Konoha ANBU squad attacking the Cerberus Dog summon of Pain! Yes, Theses two techniques were used there!.

*Creates a clone! *

For the first technique, I need you to perform Ram → Boar → Dog → Bird → Hare hand seals and release your lightning chakra into the ground, Now using that chakra, Forcefully shape the earth surrounding my clone into 4 big pillars around it!. Once they rise, they will unleash a barrage of lightning bolts shocking and paralysing anything and everything within the pillars!.


"Now, Perform the technique and Tell me how will you exactly counter this technique if it is used against you!. It's pretty easy to counter btw."

(Raiton: Shichu Shibari) – Lightning Release: Four-Pillar Bind Rank: B Type: Offensive, Supplementary Range: Short – Long Chakra cost: 20 Damage points: 40 Description: After the user performs the Ram → Boar → Dog → Bird → Hare hand seals, he releases his lightning chakra into the ground, using it to forcefully shape the earth into 4 big pillars (proportionate to the target area) around the target. Once they rise, they unleash a barrage of lightning bolts, currents and shocks to whatever is inside, paralyzing, shocking and damaging the target from all around.

The next technique is similar to the previous technique!. I need you to perform Rat → Monkey → Horse → Tiger hand seal and create a more powerful version of the four pillar bind by creating 16 giants pillars that grows around the opponent and encase him within a giant Cubic oven!. After that It's up to your imagination!. It's more often used in combo with Earth Release: Mud Fall and Fire release : Firing Biscuit! to roast your target!.

"Perform this technique on the fake Gamabunta over there!"

(Raiton: Jūrokuchū Shibari) – Lightning Release: Sixteen-Pillar Bind Rank: A Type: Supplementary Range: Short – Long Chakra cost: 30 Damage points: 60 Description: After performing the needed hand seals Rat → Monkey → Horse → Tiger the user will create a even more powerful version of Lightning Release: Four Pillar Bind. Using this technique, the user creates sixteen giant pillars by using his lightning chakra to shape the ground into a multitude of pillars, which then form a giant cubic oven to trap the enemy. It is often used after Earth Release: Mud Fall to cover the enemy target in mud and then follow up with using Fire release: Firing Biscuit, creating flames in the oven to roast and harden the mud, immobilizing the enemy.

As senpai finishes his instructions Shikamaru Ram → Boar → Dog → Bird → Hare hand seals And starts focusing raw chakra into his feet. He then applies nature transformation to convert it into Raiton chakra and quickly releases it into the ground below him. He then applies shape manipulation and forcefully forms four pillars rise around the clone of senpai. As the moment the pillars arise around the clone they start releasing lightning strikes inside the area of four pillars completely annihilating anything inside and making the clone disappear.
Of course I remember this technique. It is one of my favourites

He then applies nature manipulation to convert it into Raiton chakra. After that shikamaru quickly releases all the chakra while applying shape manipulation forms sixteen pillars to arise with a little more effort than before as he had to form more pillars this time. As the pillars rise they completely surround him making it look like a giant oven. At the moment they have completely risen they start firing electrical discharges into the area inside pillar making a toad barbecue

Minato's clone then walks Mid range from the Young shinobi in order to give him the taste of real battle. Concentrating it's Doton chakra, Clone performs the Ram → Horse → Tiger → Rabbit → Snake hand seal and slams it's hands on the ground. As it does that, The ground near Shikamaru takes the form of Huge jaws from both the sides trying to crush Shikamaru!.

"Defend from this technique! Shikamaru!" Minato commands from a distance!.

(Doton: Musaborudzuchi) – Earth Release: Devouring Earth Rank: B Type: Offensive Range: Short-Long Chakra cost: 20 Damage points: 40 Description: The user performs the Ram → Horse → Tiger → Rabbit → Snake and slams their palm on the ground. Instantly, the ground to the sides of the opponent take the shape of huge jaws and attempt to crush and stab him between them. The size of the jaws can be adjusted to fit the size of the opponent or other uses.

As the earth around shikamaru quickly channles Raiton chakra inside his whole body. After that shikamaru releases all the chakra around his body while applying shape manipulation to form an armor of lightning around his body. When the jaws try to crush they are easily broken down into pieces.
