My name is Shikamaru. I am a SUNA shinobi. As for why I am here. I am here to learn about Raiton(Lightning Nature Chakra) and its Jutsus from you.

Minato was able to feel the young suna shinobi's eagerness to learn about Raiton!. Minato then takes a deep breath and creates a chidori in his hand and slams his hand on the ground, Destroying the ground beneath him up to short range.

"Such a powerful element; Isn't it? Now, before learning about lightning we have to learn about something called as "Elemental Interactions". Do you know what it is? "

As Minato senpai destroys the ground with a sibgle blow Shikamaru is left in complete awe. After some moments when he comes to his senses he begins to answer senpai's question.

Yes senpai, I know something about Elemental Interactions. But I feel like I shall start with very beginning.
First of all there is a simple Chakra, but when you add nature manipulation into it, it takes on characteristics of five basic elements which are Fire, Earth, Water, Wind and Lightning Namely Katon, Doton, Suiton, Fuuton, and lastly the one I want to learn Raiton. These five types are called elemental chakra.
Elelmental Interactions can be simply defined as " How Elemental Chakras react when they are used with or against other Elemental Chakra. For Example
1. Wind when used against fire it amplifies the fire.
2. Whereas Water when used against the fire it completely puts the flames off.

So all in all knowledge of Elemental Interactions is extremely necessary for proper usage of Elemental Chakra. I guess that should do

Minato then walks near the Young noob and grabs his shoulder with his palm. Both of em starts to walk whilst Minato starts to explain.

"That was correct but there is bit more to that. See, Elemental interaction is the way two elemental chakra natures Interact. One may be strong over the other or vice versa!. Hmm...How to explain better about this, Take the Fire element. The fire element is strong over the wind element but it is weak over water element. That means, An A rank fire technique can easily be stopped by a B ranked water technique, Whilst the same A rank fire technique can easily overpower an A ranked wind technique. Elemental interaction all depends on the strength and weakness of the two/ more elements that are clashing with each other.

Regular ninjutsu is a different case. Regular ninjutsu is based on the usage of raw chakra. Raw chakra is always weak to elemental chakra whereas when raw chakra undergoes a high level of Shape manipulation like the Rasengan!. It can go on equal terms with elemental chakra based techniques!

During the elemental interactions, the Size of the technique also matters!. For example say that your opponent is sending a large wave of A ranked water towards you. A rasengan which is A ranked by logic must cancel the water wave; but when compared to the size of the water wave, the rasengan is waaay too small! So it will be a wrong counter and you'll be hit by the water technique!."

Shikamaru felt kinda down as He had misinterpreted senpai completely, and had given a simple answer but he kept his mind in the training and memorized everything that Senpai told him. Then he proceeds to answer senpai's next questions

Raiton | Raiton - Lightning Release is one of the five basic elemental nature transformations. Raiton chakra is formed when user applies raw chakra with nature manipulation and it takes on the properties of lightning. Basically Raiton chakra is formed by increasing high frequency vibrations of Chakra. Raiton chakra is quite hard to control due to violent nature of Lightning. This is perhaps the most energetic and destructive element of the five natures. Due to affinity with destruction Raiton is hardly ever used as defensive and most of its uses are offensive. That doesn't mean it can not be used as defense. it can also be used as defensive element e.g Lightning Release: Lightning Release Wall and Lightning Release: Lightning Strike Armour. Lightning release can also be used to increase sharpening and destructive abilities of the weapon much similar to Wind Release and has been shown to be used as such by Raiga Sasuke. Raiton's most basic effect other than causing destruction is paralyzing or causing numbness in the opponent.

- What is Lightning/ Lightning Release? Lightning is one of the Basic Five elements of Naruto Verse. Performing Ninjutsu technique by utilizing Lightning chakra is Termed as Lightning Release!. Lightning is one Powerful element. It's Piercing capability surpasses the Wind element. It is as destructive as a fire element. Lightning element is more of a double edge sword imho. If it is not used properly will damage the user severely. Like how the wind element is Characterised by it's Sharpness nature, Lightning element is characterised by the high frequency vibrations, Piercing capabilities of the element. Like the Wind element, Lightning element can also be used to enhance the piercing capabilities of a weapon!

- Is there any special characteristics? Yes, Indeed there are some special characteristics of the Lightning element. Apart from the high piercing power and high cutting potential of the Lightning element, It has the property to make human body go numb or Paralyse. This is one of the powerful potential of the lightning release which you can put into some good use. The intensity of the paralysation and the numbness varies from technique to technique mostly depending on the rank of the technique. We will discuss about these stuffs when we take a look into various techniques related to lightning release.

- What are it's weakness? You know the natural phenomenon rite? Wind is an Insulator of electricity. Yes, that precisely is applied here. Lightning is weak against the wind element because wind is a Insulator of electricity and so hence it stops the flow of electricity. Thought there are many cases in which certain wind techniques cannot be used as a counter to Lightning techniques. We will Discuss that while discussing those techniques.

- What are it's strength? As we discussed earlier, The lightning element's Piercing capability is very high. For that reason, Lightning element is Uber strong against Earth release. Lightning breaks apart the Earth release techniques and turns them into crumbles of rocks. Lightning chakra can also be used to neutralize the Earth chakra that is present in a structure or any material through the application of a certain techniques which we will discuss later.

- What about the interaction with Other two? Lightning is Neutral to Fire and Water But that differs drastically when compared with the neutrality of other elements with one another. Reasons? According to Naruto verse and in Our RP, Lightning can pass through fire since fire is not tangible in most of the cases. So, If a A ranked non-tangible fire stream technique is used by your opponent and you use a A ranked Lightning technique, The lightning technique instead of cancelling the fire will simply pass through it. This particular characteristic is what makes the Fire and lightning a stealthy combo. Now with the interaction with water techniques, Water is a very good conductor of lightning. Hence it can very well be used in conjugation with lightning release to increase the overall effectiveness of the water techniques, especially when dealing with Earth. This can also turn into a double edge sword. We will discuss about that "In Detail" later!.

- What do these Strength and Weakness actually mean in a battle? These stuffs play an important Role in our Battle RP when it comes to elemental interactions which we have seen before!!

Nice!. Now, in our training method we don't do templates!. I will ask you to perform the techniques and analyse them for me. For certain tricky techniques I will ask you some questions!. In between the training session, I may ask you to perform a combo move with the Techniques which you have learnt!! ( Don't fret if you don't kno the answer or if you perform a wrong combo! Am here to help you! ^^ ). Now, before proceeding to the techniques..

I need you to concentrate on the nature of lightning in your mind and awaken your lightning chakra!. Now, Channel the chakra into this paper. If the paper shrinks then that means you have awakened your Raiton chakra!( Yaay!).

As Senpai explains his training method Shikamaru listens attentively and then Nods his head in acknowledgment. He then starts walking towards senpai and catches the chakra paper before it falls to the ground. After that he holds the chakra paper in between his Index and Middle finger.

And starts to channel his chakra into the paper. To his astonishment nothing happens to the paper. Suddenly he remembers to apply nature transformation to chakra. He then again holds the paper as before and this time closes his eyes. He then starts visualizing the properties of lightning. But nothing seems to come to his mind. He keeps on thinking and remembers the destructive power of lightning and then it's piercing properties but that doesn't seem to help. He then instantly remembers what happens to a person when he is struck by lightning. He vibrates. That gives him the hint he starts vibrating his chakra violently inside his hand. After sometime he feels something different in his palm So he releases the chakra into the paper. He is left dumbfounded by what he sees. The chakra paper gets wrinkled when it is channeled by chakra this time.

After listening to senpai's motivating words Shikamaru seems happy as he was finally being able to answer according to senpai's expectations.

He then understands senpai's instructions and starts focusing raw chakra into the palm of his right hand. After some moments he applies nature manipulation to the chakra by vibrating it voilently but with his eyes opened this time as he already had learned how to mold Raiton chakra. HE then applies shape manipulation to the chakra. He feels this part is quite tough as chakra seems to be trying to get free and run rampant, but to impress his senpai he he tries his best and releases chakra in the form of small lightning bolts directed towards the clone of senpai.

The bolts of lightning hits the clone right around his gut and chest area. The jutsu is too much for clone and he disappears leaving a cloud of white smoke behind him

As shikamaru hears his senpai giving him new instructions he sees a clone running at him. Shikamaru quickly starts gathering raw chkara in the palm of his right hand and applies nature manipulation too convert it into Raiton chakra When clone gets near shikamaru he tries to hit shikamaru with a punch but is too slow and shikamaru ducks right under his fist and quickly slams his hands on the ground. This causes a surge of lightning to run through ground and hit sthe clone right at his feet. The lightning shows it's effect and clone feels shock for a little time

Shikamaru becomes quite flattered with his praise but knows that he still has long ways to go so he immediately gets his head back in training and sees a clone of senpai approaching towards him. He quickly gathers his wits and turns his palm towards the clone and channels it with raw chakra. He then applies nature transformation to the chakra and converts it into Raiton chakra. As the clone gets into short range he quickly releases all the chakra from his palms all the while applying shape manipulation causing several bolts of lightning to move towads the clone and hits him like Darts.

For the first technique I will need you to perform the Tiger → Snake → Dog hand seal and create an electric current from the hand that has the potential ability to hit multiple targets at the same time!. Not to mention, it can travel upto long distance!.

The second technique is pretty much the same, except the fact that instead of hand seals, you raise your hand and keep it in a particular stance!. As you concentrate the Raiton chakra, it starts to glow in pale yellow color before releasing bolts of lightning in the shape of horn that spread outwards and attacks multiple target!.

For the above two technique, I need you to make a small comparison between then after performing them. Like what are the similarities between them. Which one is more versatile!. etc etc!.

(Raiton: Shuurai Rappa no Jutsu) - Lightning Release: Lightning Strike Horn Technique Rank: C Type: Offensive Range: Short - Mid Chakra cost: 15 Damage points: 30 Description: The user will raise their hand infront of them like a sword. It will begin glowing in a pale yellow before releasing bolts of lightning in the shape of a horn that spread outwards, allowing it to attack multiple targets.

After hearing new instructions from senpai Shikamaru quickly performs Tiger → Snake → Dog hand seals and focuses raw chakra in his hands. Then he applies nature manipulation to convert it into Raiton chakra. After that Shikamaru raises his hand in the direction of clones and releases all the chakra from his finger tips while applying shape manipulation in the form of Electric current which travels in the direction of Clones and electrocutes them before making them disappear leaving a cloud of smoke behind them.

After hearing new instructions from senpai Shikamaru raises his right arm in the direction of clones before channeling raw chakra into it. Shikamaru then applies nature manipulation and converts it into Raiton chakra. After that shikamaru releases the chakra to his finger tips this makes his finger tips glow in yellow color with small projections of lightning coming out of them. Then while applying shape manipulation he releases all the chakra in the direction of clones. This released chakra is in the form of electric current. It at reaching the five clones electrocutes them before making them disappear leaving behind a cloud of white smoke

All in all I will say that (Raiton: Shuurai Rappa no Jutsu) - Lightning Release: Lightning Strike Horn Technique is way better than other. As you can see that it is quick to use. It has similar effect as other technique. Only disadvantage that it has over other technique is that it can not be used in long range. And me personally don't consider that a disadvantage at all as you can see that have lesser range means giving opponent less time to counter it as well

My clone next to me is going to concentrate it's lightning chakra and create a wave of electricity from it's hands and channel it through the water thereby increasing the destructive power of the water. Now then, I will once again create a stream of water and send it towards the clone!. Chanell your lightning chakra into the water stream and help me take out that unruly clone!.

"Let's do this Shikamaru!!! Let's take out that clone and show him what we are capable of. Shall we? U_U"

(Raiton: Jibashi) - Lightning Release: Electromagnetic Murder Rank: C Type: Offense Range: Short (Short-Long depending on the water technique) Chakra Cost: 15 Damage Points: 30 (+10 to a water technique when used in conjunction) Description: This jutsu allows the user to create a wave of electricity from the user's hands. This jutsu can vary in power from a small surge to shock an opponent to a powerful stream of lightning capable of ripping through solid rock. It is ideal to use in conjunction with a water jutsu.
