Lightning release
Lightning Release (雷遁, Raiton; English TV "Lightning Style") is one of the five basic elemental nature transformation techniques that allows the user to generate lightning by increasing the high frequency vibrations of their chakra, allowing for piercing damage and fast movement. The electricity paralyses the target so that they are unable to move and leave them vulnerable to a finishing strike.
Uses/forms
While uncommon, lightning can be infused into bladed weapons in a way similar to Wind Release through chakra flow for increased piercing power through vibrations, with the added effect of inducing numbness. When the technique is released from their bodies, and thus not requiring physical contact, it does not move as fast as true lightning. Instead, due to the control the user has to exert over it, it moves far slower, which can give opponents time to still react.
Fun fact: Lightning Release is common to the ninja of Kumogakure.

Lightning is strong against earth because it can easily travel through and break the ground apart but weak against wind because it is a natural electrical insulator. At the same time, lightning can potentially surpass the penetrative force of wind by increasing the former's vibration frequency high enough.

I close my eyes and begin to have a strong mental image of molding chakra and manipulating the shape into a lightning form. I then focus the lightning based chakra to the right palm of my hand, and create several bolts of lightning. I then reach out reach out my right palm to Ushiro sensei and and release the lightning bolts towards sensei's arm which then shocks him.
"I did it sensei, I hope you didn't get hurt from that"

"Okay sensei"
I gather chakra and concentrate it towards my right hand. After I gained enough chakra, I begin to slam my right hand toward the ground. Which I then released my chakra which has been molded into raiton as I then begin to see a surge of bolts and lightning that crosses the ground from my right hand. The wave of lightning traveling on the ground begins to head towards one of the pein that sensei has sent. As the surge of lightning finally reaches the pein from the feet, the lightning then begins to shock him.
"Did it work sensei"
I gather chakra and concentrate it towards my right hand. After I gained enough chakra, I begin to slam my right hand toward the ground. Which I then released my chakra which has been molded into raiton as I then begin to see a surge of bolts and lightning that crosses the ground from my right hand. Not bad. Let's see if you're ready for sets of three. This one is pretty simple: Just gather lightning in your hands and release it towards your target as a wave of lightning bolts to shock him. Here's a volunteer.

I gather chakra and concentrate it towards my right hand. I then increase the vibration of my chakra,into pure raiton chakra, which I then shape manipulate it into lightning bolts. I then make sure the pein is in my range, and begin to release a wave of lightning bolts from my hand,which is heading towards pein. As it then begins to shock him.

2nd Technique
I perform the Boar, Ram, Snake, Horse, and Dragon handseals, as I begin to gather chakra towards my hand, which has then been transformed into raiton chakra due to the increase vibration of my chakra. I then shape manipulate the lightning, and release a tremendous wave of lightning from my hands, as I head it towards the pein in the Jacuzzi, and because lightning has a unique relationship with water the damage is more enhanced. Just as the wave of lightning reaches the Jacuzzi, the pein's then got aware of the situation as they began to flee the Jacuzzi, just before they got electrified.

I generate a huge amount of chakra all over my body, as I then increase the vibration of the chakra into raiton. Then manipulate the raiton into a armor of lightning which covers my entire body. Just as the pein was heading towards me with a flying kick, he then gets electrocuted because he made contact with me while I had a armor of lightning which covers my entire body.

Here, run up the face of this cliff and perform the Snake handseal, an upside down Tiger handseal, and clap your hands together. Once you've done that release a wave of electricity into the rock above to break off chunks of it, crushing whoever is below you once the rock rains past you. Your target will be following you up the cliff.

(Raiton: Iwa Nadare) - Lightning Style: Stone Avalanche

Descripton: By forming hand seals Snake → Upside down Tiger → Hands clapped together and running up a cliff face, the user causes stone and rock above him to become dislodged and rain down past him onto his opponents below by releasing a wave of electrical energy. However, this is extremely location-based and needs to be done uphill of a mountain for it to work.
Next, raise your hand in front of you with your fingers strait. Gather lightning in your hand and release it in the form of a large horn made up of several lightning bolts spread out. Fend these guys off.

(Raiton: Shuurai Rappa no Jutsu) - Lightning Release: Lightning Strike Horn Technique

Description: The user will raise their hand in front of them like a sword and it will begin glowing a pale yellow before releasing bolts of lightning in the shape of a horn that spread outwards allowing it to attack multiple targets.
Now take out a sword and channel raiton chakra throughout the blade to enhance its sharpness. With that done you utilize the chakra within it to levitate the sword before creating two more physical copies of it, also levitating. You should then control the blades to spin quickly and fly towards your target almost like shurikens. Mow these guys down.

( Raiton: Inazuma ken Fudou ) - Lightning Release: Lightning Blades Levitation

Description: The user will channel their lightning chakra into their sword to increase its cutting capabilities, and then levitate it in front of them. They will then multiply the sword creating two extra physical copies which are then all manipulated to spin rapidly and are controlled to fly towards and cut through the opponent/s through hand gestures. While controlling the weapons, the user cannot mold chakra for other techniques and needs to keep focus.

1st technique:
I run up the face of cliff that sensei has created, and I preform the Snake handseal, an upside down Tiger handseal. After I performed the hand seals, I clap my hands together, and concentrate my chakra. Which I then increase the vibration of my chakra into raiton, and I shape manipulate the raiton into electrical waves of lightning. Which I focus towards rocks, and I begin to strike the electrical waves on it which breaks/dislodged the rocks, and stone that come down like the rain which crushes the pein below it.

2nd technique
I spread out my hand like a sword facing it towards the 3 peins.I then concentrate chakra in my hand, and I then vibrate the chakra into raiton. Once I had done that, my hand begins to have a yellow pale glow from the lightning.I then shape manipulate the lightning into bolts which are released towards my target. During the process of releasing the bolts, the bolts turn into the shape of horns by shape manipulation, as it then begins to spread out attacking the 3 peins.

I begin to concentrate the lightning chakra I had gathered through the vibration of my chakra into my sword.Once I had channeled my chakra into the sword to levitate it which enhances it cutting capabilities, I then multiply the the sword, creating 2 extra physical copies also levitating it. With the raiton infused in the swords, I them rapidly spin towards the pein while controlling the weapons. As I am spinning tremendously I flying towards the 3 peins like a shuriken mowing them down, and leaving deadly injuries because of the speed of my attacks, and because the raiton enhanced the swords sharpness, and cutting capabilities

Well done. Now generate bolts of lightning around your forearm. Then jump in the air and slam your hand on the ground as you land, releasing the lightning into and the across the ground around you. It should reach up to 5 meters away and shock anyone in the area. Try it out.

( Raiton: Denki Railanshō ) - Lightning Release: Electric Discharge Palm

Description: The user will manipulate their lightning chakra in their dominant hand generating electrical bolts of lightning around their forearm and they then jump into the air. The user will then land slamming their palm onto the ground causing the electrical energy to be discharged sending out bolts of lightning into the ground and around them up to 5 meters.

Description: The user manipulates their chakra while doing the Ox hand seal and then releases it in front of him whilst holding their hands out. By doing this, the user generates a wall of lightning energy that can defend against certain techniques. The user can use this defence to shock enemy targets who attempt close range combat and deliver massive shocks to anything that comes in contact with it.

Description: The user will manipulate their lightning chakra in their dominant hand generating electrical bolts of lightning around their forearm and they then jump into the air. The user will then land slamming their palm onto the ground causing the electrical energy to be discharged sending out bolts of lightning into the ground and around them up to 5 meters.

Description: The user manipulates their chakra while doing the Ox hand seal and then releases it in front of him whilst holding their hands out. By doing this, the user generates a wall of lightning energy that can defend against certain techniques. The user can use this defence to shock enemy targets who attempt close range combat and deliver massive shocks to anything that comes in contact with it.
1st Technique
I concentrate chakra in my and/forearm, and by increasing the vibration of my chakra, I generate lightning/bolts of lightning around my forearm. I then take a big jump into the air, and as I'm heading towards the ground, I slam my palm onto the ground releasing bolts of lightning that reaches up to 5 meters around me, causing the peins sensei sent towards me to get electrocuted from the feet, and the above.

2nd Technique
I preform the Ox seal with my hands, then I old out my hands increasing the vibration of my chakra in raiton. I then generate a wall of lightning after shape manipulating the raiton, and just as the peins are charging towards me, they get electrocuted after having contact with the wall of lightning.

Great. Now raise your hands (or weapon) to the sky and send electricity into the clouds above us. Afterwards make lightning drop from the clouds and strike your target. These lightning strikes are fast but nowhere close to actual ones. Teach these guys how electricity was discovered.

Description: The user will raise his hand or a weapon and send an electrical discharge into the clouds, allowing them to create lightning strikes in the desired location. The discharges are triggered right after the technique and cannot be delayed or prepared before hand but are quite fast.
Next, perform the Ram, Boar, Dog, Bird, and Hare handseals before utilizing lightning chakra to force the earth to rise in the shape of four large pillars surrounding your target. Then discharge multiple lightning currents from these pillars to paralyze and electrocute whoever is trapped inside. Try it on this big guy.

Once they rise, they unleash a barrage of lightning bolts, currents and shocks to whatever is inside, paralyzing, shocking and damaging the target from all around.
For this one perform the Rabbit, Dog, Boar, Ram, and Rat handseals before releasing a wave of electricity from your hands. It's best performed after water jutsu to electrify the water and increase it's power. Help me fry this crab.

Description: After doing the Rabbit → Dog → Boar → Ram → Rat hand seals, the user generates a large amount of lightning from their hands, which can then be either released in an unfocused manner or passed through conductive materials to improve the electrical power of the technique, namely in conjunction with Water Techniques. In fact, certain users have showed that its possible to, if the user has the ability to mold both Water and Lightning chakras at the same time (for example, Darui who has Storm Release), unleash this particular technique at the same time as they exhale/spit some water technique (which needs to consist of a stream of water), combining both in a seemingly consecutive move. Other ninjas will need to use a clone or an ally for the same effect.
