*Karui patiently waits in a training field for her sensei to arrive*

"He's late... I knew he would be late... Noni-sensei has never been late... What gives him the right?"

*She paces across the field and pouts under her breath*

*Then with great precision, she begins to kick rocks*

*Feeling as if she was going to die of boredom, Karui eventually hops up into a tree to rest* "He's pulling a Kakashi on me... If only I had an eraser..."

*Trying to take nap, Karui closes her eyes. Only for birds to bother her* "Quit... Quit you damn birds... Quit it!" *She takes out a kunai and swings it at one of the annoying birds, only to completely miss and fall right on her face* "Dirty animals... Who crated such useless creatures?"

*Moments later, Karui is now deep-freezing in the winter weather*

*She eventually falls asleep in a pile of snow*

*Karui wakes up in a pile of snow and quickly jumps up, wiping herself off. She storms off of the training field, pissed off and cursing*

Karui hasn't changed a bit, ya think she'd be more mellow when she exchanged the mountains for constant rain. Guess not.

Gin decides to show himself and stop trolling. As Karui walks away, 4 portals open up in front of her and massive amounts of Keigoku form and come in the shape of a person. Then the body turns into the Raikage, Gin Ichimaru.

*Karui shrieked and put her hands up in front of her face* "... Sensei? You're... Just on time..."

*As much as she wanted to just bop him on the head, she refrained*

Basically explain everything you know about the element and I'll fill in some of the blanks.

*Karui scratches her head* "So straight forward... What an ass..." *She thinks*

"First of all sensei it is truly an honor to have you here. Even though I almost died of frostbite in that pile of snow, it was worth it" *She smiles* "I could bop you right now... Right when you least expect it..."

"Now where were we? Ah, yes. Lightning is one of the five basic elements in the ninja world. It is summoned by the user by creating or "molding" vibrations into their chakra, forming it into piercing lightning that can stun and paralyze the opponent or perhaps even kill them, depending on the scale of the attack. It is weak to doton defenses and attacks and it is "strong to" suiton attacks and defenses. That's all I currently know about the element..."

"I screwed up... I know I did..." *Karui stares at her sensei with a blank look on her face*

How about what it's weak to? What is it strong to?

"Lightning is weak to earth techniques and strong against water techniques. I know that Sasuke Uchiha, Kakuzu, Kakashi Hatake, Darui, A, B and Ameyuri Ringo are all good with lightning techniques. Sorry I left that out, sensei."

This is the first time I'm teaching lightning as a sensei lol I've taught everything else at least twice <.< I'm ashamed as the raikage xD

Alright, lets begin!

You see that rock over there *points to small boulder* I want you to focus your raiton chakra into your hands and release it at the boulder, if you do it right, the boulder should break.

*Gin picks up the boulder and tosses it to Karui*

 

[Troi]

(There's a first time for everything. )

"Oh crap..." *Karui runs away so the boulder doesn't hit her and it lands on the ground* "You expect me to hit that in the air? Are you crazy? Ha... Slow down there, cowboy..." "That must be how Omoi felt when I threw that rock at him... Omoi... I am... Truly sorry... T_T." *She thinks*

*She focuses her chakra in her body and eventually it starts to move at a rapid pace. She moves it all to her hands and releases it, shooting a giant, uncontrolled blast of lightning at the boulder, making it explode*

"... That was supposed to happen, right?.. I did it right, right?.." *She looks at her sensei awkwardly*

*Karui smirks as she feels her chakra molding and vibrating, as soon as she has enough built up, she sends it to her hand and punches the ground, which is probably the dumbest thing she could have done because she hurt her fist pretty badly. As her fist makes contact with the ground, a path of spiky and out of control lightning heads straight towards the clone, as soon as it hits the clone's feet, it shocks him to it's poor, nonexistent death as it poofs away*

"How was that?! Don't worry about my fist! It's fine! I promise!" *She has an expression on her face that shows her pain*

Advantages: This technique is quick and easy. Doesn't requires any hand seals and is pretty straightforward. Would be a good technique to take advantage of a water source next to your opponent, if there is one. I could think of some dirty tricks having to do with that lol.
Disadvantages: The technique is weak and would be easy to avoid and evade. It could of course be stopped by a doton defense/attack.

"I won't fail you, sensei."

*Without wasting anymore time, Ameyuri focuses her raiton chakra throughout her entire body and concentrates it into her hands. After she had built enough her it up, she swings her left arm across in front of her, from left to right, releasing a devastating shock wave. Too bad it didn't hit anything*

"How did I do, sensei?" *She looks at him, eager for an answer*

How many hand seals does it have: None.
Advantages: It is quick, as it requires no hand seals so perhaps of the opponent is in range, it can interrupt their hand seals or a developing technique or you could using it with existing water on the battlefield to increase it's range and really do damage to your opponent.
Disadvantages: This technique is obviously weak and is only short to mid range to it is rendered useless when fighting from afar.
Combos and possible uses: Like I said in advantages, could be used to increase power and range when used existing water on the battlefield, if there is any. Perhaps you can throw various ninja tools and send the shock wave after them, coating them in the lightning. This, I'm not sure about.
How to defend against it: You could use a technique, such as a wind or water technique to push you back and out of range, although I would prefer the wind technique, as the water could leave you and things around you prone to the lightning. You could also summon a doton wall and that would stop the technique in it's tracks.
Image of the technique: I think I described it quite well. Is this really needed? But as I see it, it is pretty much a thin blade of lightning covering an area no wider than the user's body. Very quick to perform.

I want you to focus lightning chakra into your hands, and release it from your hands creating a wave of electricity, you can add more lightning chakra to make it as strong as you like. *points to boulder* Destroy it!

*Ameyuri looks at the boulder and smiles*

"Heh... Child's play..."

*She weaves the ram hand seal and from her mouth, releases a massive water wave, consuming the unlucky boulder. As it drifts away at a rapid pace, before it goes any further, Ameyuri channels her raiton chakra through both hands and throws it, overlapping one arm over the other. The lightning wave cut through the water, only making it stronger and as soon as it touches the rock, it actually explodes due to the amount of water that had surrounded it*

"How was that?" *She smiled at her sensei*

"Well that was quick and useful. But tell me, why are you and all other sensei content with trying to kill Karui-chan and I? You'll never succeed." *She smiles*

"Lightning is strong against earth because it can easily travel through and break the ground apart but weak against wind because it is a natural electrical insulator. Lightning also has a unique relation with water, since water conducts electricity. This means that a Water Release technique can be used to increase the damage of a Lightning Release technique and vice versa. Though this also means that if one's opponent still has a physical connection with the water, either a pre-existing source or one created with their own chakra, then they can be paralysed via their own technique."

Don't slack on the description. Remember Lightning is weak to Wind and Strong to earth. I want you to manipulate a wave of lightning from your hands. If you do it by itself, it won't go far and it's not as powerful. Combine it with water and you have a deadly combination.
