I want to learn raiton because it is a fun element to play with and can be used for more tactical attacks in the rp rather than just using op attacks to win.
*magiclly recieves chakra paper and immitates what most ppl say next "put chakra into card so you know your lightning elemented base"
takes the paper and focus chakra into it making it crisp away.

"good now go to the top of the mountain get into a medetation form and focus let the lightning flow through you as if you were one with it and tell me what it feels like to you."
Climbs to top of mountain takes a meditation posistion in middle of the summit and begins to litsen to the never ending lightning and trying to pick up a rythem but their isnt one.I then notice that it is very unpredictable but at the same time very concentrated source of power.

Lightning is unpredictable and as such can be a dangerous element to use if done so wrongly.It has no rythem to it due to that.Lightning techniques are also considerably fast.

Could be used in battle in conjunction to the element waer for a more dangerous and tactical use.aswell as fast counters and distractions. aswell as main attacks.

Lets correct what you typed even though I don't teach it that way. Lightning in the chakra paper doesn't make it crisp away, earth makes it crumble and fire makes it burn... Lightning make the paper crinkle in a a cool looking pattern. Also the paper isn't to know your 'lightning element base' is it to see if you understand the properties of [insert chakra nature here] and change the paper to match that. In the Anime it is to check you nature type...

You mentioned that lightning makes a good combination with water jutsu. I want you to explain to me how lightning interacts with the other elements, mainly earth and wind and fire doesn't really effect lightning to much (will touch on lightning fire combos later).

Lightning is strong against elements such as earth and wind but weak against water and nuetral to fire.
Strong to earth due to piercing effect.Same reason for wind
water doesnt affect it much but lightning affects water.
fire does nothing to it but same with lightning to fire.

Lets start with the basics...

Let us start at the very beginning, the elemental weaknesses and advantages of every element:

Fire
-Weak to water
-Strong against wind

Water
-Weak against earth
-Strong against fire

Earth
-Weak against lightning
-Strong against water

Lightning
-Weak against wind
-Strong against earth

Wind
-Weak against fire
-Strong against lightning

This is basic stuff that you should know from your other trainings... I have bolded the points more relevant to this training.

As you can see Lightning is strong against Earth as lightning is able to cut straight through it, where as Lightning is weak to Wind as wind acts as an insulator that prevents the flow of lightning.

You are correct that Fire is neutral to Lightning and as such can create some surprising and powerful combinations. I will be more than happy to elaborate on this point.

Lighting is also neutral to Water but in most cases the water provides a medium to increase the speed and power of lightning, being that water conducts electricity. Water/Lightning combinations are the most commonly used when using lightning. Again I will be more than happy to elaborate on this point.

Now, tell me about a few properties of Lightning. What exactly gives it its cutting power and what would be a tell tale sign that someone is using a lightning jutsu (assuming you can or cannot see them)?

the vibration created when using lightning chakra is what gives its cutting power

you can see if a person is going to use lightning by the fact that you will see a slight glow around the user due to the vibrations aswells as you might see uncontrolled small lightning static.

I know this is drawn out but it is important in understanding the element I will be teaching you.

the ound is off a enoying puzzing sound and can distract the opponent.

Buzzing, crackling stuff along those lines.

Now... keep all these properties in mind, particularly the virbrations (which cause the humming/buzzing sound) as you will need to replicate these with you chakra. Thus creating your 'raiton' chakra...

I want you to now gather your raiton chakra into your hands, then hold them out and point them towards my clone. Use your chakra to create small bolts of lightning and fire them off at my clone. Be specific as to where you hit him, this is critical when using low level jutsu in order to gain maximum effect from them.

I gather my raiton chakra into my right hand after 10 seconds i can hear buzzing which means that i have concentrated enough chakra into my hand.I then release it into 3 bolts of lightning 1 i aim at your head and 2 at your chest.Once it hits you you are paralized and your clone is dispersed.

So, that shouldn't take that long to charge and release but you'll get better with time. The first attempt always takes a bit of time to perform any task successfully. This jutsu does not have any paralyzing capabilities but will inflict some injuries upon impact.

Why did you aim for my head, did you intend to hit any specific spots?

your chest for your heart and your head for your brain all vital spots and when shocked can be shut down and well you need the mto live.

Good... we are making progress.

So, you need to state that you are aiming for my heart to gain maximum effect other wise I could argue that you hit me in a non vital area (That goes for all jutsu). As for aiming for my brain, I think aiming for my eyes would be easier as they don't have a protective layer of bone around them and eventually lead to a thinner point of the skull, leading to the brain. Be specific with where you aim all of your jutsu.

I now want you to gather your lightning chakra into your preferred hand, slam it on the ground and release you chakra. The chakra should travel along the ground as a wave of lightning which you will direct at my clone, zapping him.

This is a lightning jutsu that we'd expect to have the typical Lightning crackle as it travels across the ground.

What would be the effect if my clone was standing on a lake and you used this jutsu on the lake?
