Dean makes his way to the training field, where he would teach a student that Minato, his team mate, had taught in Kenjutsu. Nonetheless, this time they would be doing Rain training. Rain, which Dean had taught to quite a number of people lately, it was becoming more and more popular, or perhaps people were just becoming more skilled. Dean has a bag on his back, and some "motivation" in the form of a bottle of Gin.

"Hello there, I am Dan Winchester of the Nekura clan. I will teaching you Rain o-o. Since it doesn't require any chakra papers, and such, lets go on with it. Tell me, what do you know about Rain? How is it formed? And how did it feel fighting with just Wind and Water in your test?"

Dean crossed his arms as he waited for his student to answer him.

"Oh, and what's your name?"

Sensei, you taught Kushimaru in kenjutsu so technically he wouldn't be able to learn it haha, unfortunately :[. I will be dropping the bio I used to take my rain test, so if thats okay I will RP as though I am using the bio I submitted last night, he will be my future main custom bio, I just decided to submit it before I am allowed to submit the custom clan version because I've waited since december to make it.

Ohayooo Sensei!! My mother named me Ryo, but later changed my name to Ryogetsu, but you can call me Ryo! It is very nice to meet you. What I know about rain is that is that is a natural phenomenon that happens when enough moister builds up on the clouds to the point where gravity is able to bring it down in the form of liquid droplets of water. By using ninjutsu, more specifically water ninjutsu, the user is able to create artificial rain that would cause it to fall upon the battle field. I currently have access to two water rain techniques, one that has my senses linked to it, allowing me to find the location of my target, and another one that is exclusive to my country of kirigakure, allowing me to drain the power of techniques that my opponent releases. Rain is an extension of water release, naturally and wind enhances its manipulation. (Although Im not quite sure how exactly.) The exam wasn't very tough as I am already used to using water, being my primary element. What I found most difficult is incorporating the usage of wind into my fighting style, something I had never done before.

Dean listens to Ryo's explanation, which was very well done. Without any problem, Dean nods his head in agreement and clears his throat as he prepares himself to say something.

"Very good, Ryo. The Wind aspect is basically to give the rain shape, making it sharp and fast (you'll see when we go through the techniques). Anyway, your usage of Water was very good, but you did lack a bit of Wind usage, no worries though. I believe you'll be able to get the hang of Rain easily. Now, let us begin. My way of training is simple, I will explain the technique to you, then I want you to analyse it for me (I've noticed that this method works well with Rain). In this analysis, you will include what you think of the technique, advantages and disadvantages etc.

Now, make it Rain first O___O"

Dean crosses his arms as he waits for Ryo to make it Rain.

Okay! Sounds fairly simple and straight forward! ^-^

With his primary affinity being water, Ryogetsu gestures a single hand seal, thereafter releasing his chakra outwards into the sky above. His aim would be to manipulate the weather in order to bring forth rain clouds, causing to rain shortly afterwards.

(Suiton: Ukojizai no Jutsu) - Water Style: Rain Tiger at Will Technique
Rank: C
Type: Supplementary
Range: Short-Long
Chakra cost: 15
Damage Points: N/A
Description: A perception ninjutsu, allowing one to freely manipulate rain infused with the user's own chakra after waving the Bird → Rat → Ox → Monkey → Rat → Snake hand seals. The rain falls from rain clouds, formed with the users own chakra. During this technique, the falling raindrops are closely linked to the users senses. When the rain is obstructed by a chakra belonging to someone the existence of the target can be detected. The rain will keep on falling until the user uses the seal to cancel it.

With the rain starting to fall, Dean starts off. Rain was quite easy to teach these days as the students understood it pretty easily. Dean then remembers the time when he had Rain himself, he never used it to its full extent.

"Alright, let's start with the first technique, Ryo! First off, create your Rain based chakra by combining your Wind and Water chakra natures. You will then manipulate this chakra, to start and gather rain drops to the palms of your hands. You will then use your chakra to form these rain drops into a pressurized orb of Rain. This orb is then launched towards the opponent, causing them to be sent back with great force, causing blunt damage. Easy to use, and create too. It requires no hand seals, so there's that too. Analyse it for me."

Out Of Character: I will not be looking at the rain jutsu list so my analysis will solely be based on what I am experiencing or being taught in the session Sensei!

An orb? Alright! This should be easy, I hope.. I've done quite a few ordinary water orbs, though not as pressurized I think.. *scratches head*

Ryogetsu extends his arm outwards with his left palm facing the sky. He then begins to mold his chakra around his hand as well as the chakra within the rain drops. Moments later he begins to shape manipulate the drops of rain and have them converge on his palm, slowly gathering up in order to create a perfect sphere of water. As a suitable source of rain water is gathered, Ryo begins to compress the orb heavily, before launching it forward with a thrusting motion, causing it to travel forward towards a nearby tree, a short distance away from him. Upon contact the tree would splinter and shatter outwards from the point of impact, similar to that of a rasengan, but relatively weaker of course.

Woah that was cool! I wasn't expecting the compression to leave such an impact on the tree trunk. Its neat that I can use, well.. have to use the rain droplets to create the orb. Speaking of which, I noticed that the creation of the technique isn't very fast, because I have to wait for enough droplets to gather. This of course could mean I didn't utilize the technique and execute it efficiently. If I am able to draw the a lot of the rain drops faster or sooner, then the creation of the orb would be overall faster. How fast would you say the creation of it could be? Could it be compared to that of a rasengan perhaps? As far as the range of the technique goes, unless I continue to launch it, I am unsure exactly how long it would reach. (My OCC note xD) What I do like is that no hand seals are required which makes the usage faster, as well as reliable if you are unable to move, or in close combat. My question is, would I be able to launch it without thrusting my hand, and simply manipulate it's outward momentum?

"Very good, and I see you have some questions as well. A bit slower than rasengan, I would say. The technique purely relies upon the thrusting movement, which releases the compressed orb in the form of a blast. So, its almost like a projectile when released outwards, meaning you unfortunately have no power over it, after its departure from your hand/palm. The range is simply Short range (OOC: Its all good, makes for some more realistic questions and RP). Here you go."

Rank: D
Type: Attack
Range: Short
Chakra cost: 10
Damage Points: 20
Description: By focusing chakra into the user's hand they are able to gather rain drops towards their palms, the rain is molded together by chakra and forged into a high pressured orb. Once done the orb will shoot away from the users hand and the user will be knocked back. If it hits the enemy the enemy will be sent away flying or unbalanced.

"Now the next technique is one I think you will fancy. Without the need of hand seals, you will focus your Rain based chakra into the falling rain, and cause it to change compounds, which makes the rain sticky. This binds the opponent down towards the ground, for up to two turns, and the technique itself, lasts for two turns. Analyse it for me. Its quite special, albeit, only C rank in power."

Thank you for the answers Sensei. Regarding this next technique, I couldn't help but notice you told me to focus my rain based chakra into the falling rain, to perform this next technique. My question is, wouldn't my chakra already be on that rain, and I would simply have to manipulate it to activate it? This is of course, if I am using rain that I created myself, which is already linked to me through chakra. Did you want me to perform this technique? I wasn't sure 100% so I will analyze it for the time being. This technique reminds me of a syrup variation from the water release techniques. It allows me to change the compounds of the water, and cause them to be sticky so that I can bind my target. Whats good is that the rain drops dont change in color, so they are hard to notice, as only their properties change. Not only that but it stays active for a certain amount of time, which forces the target to either stop the rain, or create some cover like using earth release to shelter themselves. This could give me an opening, almost like anticipating their next move to a certain extent. A draw back I notice is that I have to be very careful where radius in which I change is coming down on. Its safe to say, I could potentially be caught on the technique myself as well. Another neat thing as you noted is that no hand seals are required, which makes it that more much hard to anticipate with no signs of activation.

"No, the chakra in the Rain is from the C ranked technique. Every rain technique has a chakra cost for the reason of you sending your Rain based chakra (created from Water and Wind) into the falling Rain, the manipulating it for various functions. Or at least that's how I interpret it :p and no, you don't need to perform it. Well done, overall. Here you go."

Description: When user makes it rain and then changes the compounds of the water(materials in the air). Then makes the rain sticky which binds the opponent in place for 2 turns.this jutsu lasts for 2 turns.

"Now, for the next technique, I want you to create a reflection of yourself through manipulation of your Rain based chakra. This reflection looks exactly like you, however, this clone is not capable of inflicting physical harm or even moving objects. The clone is merely capable of mimicking everything you do. A tactical technique, which should be used uniquely (which I know you will). Analyse it for me."

Oh yeah of course! I didn't exactly mean that though, I meant that using rain that is already linked to my chakra could potentially benefit me in terms of time of performance, how long it takes me to manipulate the technique. Since my chakra is already present, I would fuel more of it, to begin the shape manipulation of it. Whereas if I tried to manipulate a natural source of rain, I would first have to channel my chakra into the rain drops, and then manipulate them. I guess my question is, is there a slight delay (minimal or not) between manipulating a natural rain source versus one that is already linked with my chakra?

Ryo pauses for a second and scratches his head slightly as sweat drips down the side of his face.

Sensei, am I to perform this technique? Or will you be explaining them, I am unsure of it sometimes, haha. For now, I will analyze it with the information you have presented me. I would manipulate rain drops, and just like any other elemental clone, I would make one out of rain, copying my appearance. Now, I dont exactly know if this is restricted to my appearance alone, or if I am limited to a single reflection. Unlike other 'clone' techniques, this one can't really perform techniques, or deal physical damage for that matter. It is more of a strategical type of technique. Im also unsure whether or not the reflection fully copies my body, like a shadow clone, or if it would be 'water'd down' like a vague image of myself with rain droplets. Its a nice technique to catch the opponent off guard, though I am not sure whether or not they would really be caught off guard. This technique would have to be used with care, and carefully executed, mainly in close combat to throw off the target if they are trying to strike. Im also unsure of whether or not i can mold chakra to perform other techniques while the reflection is maintained, nor do I know for how long it can last. A neat thing about the reflection is that its made out of manipulate rain droplets, and that means, a small source of water, very small but a source none the less. I could potentially use the reflection for an attack, by using a low ranking water technique that doesnt require a lot of water.

"I don't think that there's a difference, in terms of a delay or such, or it would have been stated. Nobody really pays any attention to it, though it is an interesting question (will ask around). Anyway, yes, I also imagine it as a mirage like clone, and its like a normal clone in terms of appearance. Just analysis is fine with me, since I know you can perform it right. I don't think it needs to be maintained. Anyway, here you go."

"Now, after performing a row of hand seals (according to the description), you will use your Rain chakra, in order to assume a form that mimics the falling rain (can only be used in rain, obviously). This basically hides you, as you look exactly like the rain, and can be used to stealthily approach an opponent and launch a surprise attack. Fairly useful, however, physical contact and fast movements break the technique, revealing your position. Overall useful, but best used if you are close to the opponent, about to deliver the killing blow."

This technique reminds me to the concealment technique that allows the user to bend the light around him to camo with his surroundings. Instead of bending the light, you use chakra to mimic the falling rain around you so that you appear to be one with the rain, almost like a realistic illusion. Just like the concealment technique, fast movement or physical contact would alert the target of your whereabouts. My concern and question would be if they target would be able to see for example, the slashes on ground puddles if my feet were to step on them. And what about my foot prints on the mud on the ground? Would it leave a mark? Same goes for grass. I assume this would only conceal my body, but not my physical interactions with the world, which mean alert my target of my whereabouts. I am not sure whether or not this can be maintained while I use other techniques.

"Yes, the opponent would still be able to see your footsteps, since you have to be able to interact with the physical world. This can not be maintained with other techniques, since this is only used to conceal you temporarily. Anyway, very good, here you go."

Description: A jutsu that can only be used in rain to conceal oneself, this jutsu is considered a dynamic form of henge. After performing a row of hand-seals, the user seems to disappear. In truth, they have merely assumed a form that mimics rain. Fast movements and physical contact with others may reveal the user

"Now, we'll be doing two techniques at a time. The first technique starts off by manipulating your Rain based chakra, and using it to condense a single raindrop. Through shape manipulation, you will make this raindrop as sharp as a blade, which is capable of piercing through the skull of the opponent. However, it simply falls in a straight line, which makes a technique to only use if you know the opponent is constricted. So, basically, any raindrop up to Mid range around the opponent can be made as such.

After that, you will place some of your Rain based chakra, into the falling raindrops. As these chakra filled raindrops fall onto a puddle of water, it causes a small spike to rise from said puddle. This is capable of inflicting C rank damage, and can be used strategically too to stagger the opponent. Can only be used if there are puddles on the ground, obviously."

OOC: Sensei, is "Rain Chakra" just a short term for saying you use your water and wind chakra to manipulate the rain? Back when Kakashi and Yamato explained to Naruto the essence of elemental affinities, Yamato told Naruto that he utilized both his water and earth chakra, and not necessarily 'Wood Chakra'. Would this be the case as well?

It seems like a very sneaky and lethal technique. Though, would the condensed drop of rain really be strong enough to pierce through the skull? I understand it is as sharp as a blade, but the volume of a rain drop is very minuscule, and I would imagine that perhaps it would cut into the skull, but not through it. This of course depends on the altitude in which the rain drop was condensed. Since it's up to mid range, it can't go be condensed until it falls within the radius of 10m, correct? Okay so now continuing to the rest of this technique. As I said, its sneaky because without a sensory technique it would be next to impossible to notice one of the rain drops being condensed, specially if it falls from the sky above the target's location. It falls in a straight line which means it can be easily avoided (Metagame) or if the target slightly moves his body, it will strike a less lethal area, like possibly a shoulder or something similar.

Okay so this technique reminds me very much of water release. The thing I see is that the water can't be materialized to create the spike. Instead the user has to wait several turns (I dont know how many) for a puddle of rain water to form in order to then shape manipulate it. This means that this technique cant be performed the very first turn that the rain started to fall in. (Would I simply magically point out where a puddle is on the field near my target?)

OOC: Exactly, sorry that I did not clarify this.

"Its just hyperbole to say "through the skull", it is very sharp though and its up to interpretation as to how sharp exactly. A raindrop sized blade projectile, falling at approximately 10 m/s downwards, could possibly pierce through a skull hence my initial statement on it. Either way, it inflicts quite some damage, no? Very sneaky, yes. No turns, simply when the drops fall, the spike is created and pierces the opponent. No clarification as to where and how you would explain it, hence I said it must be on a wet terrain where there is a large amount of water on the ground (which form puddles). Anyway, here you go."

Chakra cost: 15
Damage Points: 30
Description: The user of this technique must place chakra into one or more raindrops. As the drops of rain hit the ground they create a small sized spike of water from puddles on the ground. For this technique to work there must be water on the ground and it must be raining.

"Now for the next two techniques. Use your Rain based chakra to condense a large amount of Rain to a single spot in the sky above the opponent. You will then use shape manipulation to form this mass of Rain water, into a spear of Rain. This spear of rain waits for your command, for up to three turns, where you can simply call it to fall down with a single hand seal. When it is not used in that time, it will fall uselessly as Rain again. The technique is easy to notice, as there is a pause in the rain for that moment that it forms/when the Rain condenses.

After that, an interesting technique where you will use your Rain chakra in an unorthodox way. You will use the Rain chakra, to cause Rain water to be attracted to a target of your choice, in this case, your opponent. The rain water would converge upon him, and eventually also attach to the ground, where it will hold the opponent."

An interesting technique, for it's kind that I've learned. I think the ability of staying condensed for a prolonged time is sweet and very strategical. You could use the confusion of the paused rain to your advantage and not even release the spear. A question I have is whether or not the spear can be seen before being released, or if it hides within the clouds. Another thing is, double I waste more chakra (Two moves) if I were to gesture the hand seal to call the spear down at later turns? (3rd or less) or would only the creation of the technique utilize chakra. (1 turn.) A thing I notice about this technique is that it's a projectile-based one, and once it's released, the user has no control over it's trajectory. That makes it easier for the target to defend against.

This could be used on both allies and enemies. If my ally were to be set on fire, by a very moderate flame, I'd be able to potentially drown out the flames with it, or at least aid in doing so. I think its a neat technique indeed, as the rain water converges on my target. Not only does it converge on him, but it also binds him against the floor if allowed to be completed. A thing I like is that the source can later be used as a source of water for minor water techniques, or even rain techniques so long as logic is followed. As of yet, I haven't learned any rain techniques eligible of such feats. I am uncertain of the range of the technique, but the longer the better. This could also prevent my opponent from trying to conceal himself by turning invisible as the water would be on his person.

"Very good, only when the technique is activated, is the chakra spent. Nonetheless, here you go."

Rank: C
Type: Attack
Range: Short-Mid
Chakra cost: 15
Damage Points: 30
Description: By using chakra to condense a large amount of rainwater into one place, the user creates a spear of water in the clouds. The spear can at any time be called down to strike an opponent with only one hand-seal. The water will stay in the form of spear for a short amount of time (three posts). If the spear is not used by that time it will fall uselessly as rain. The only warning this technique gives is a second pause in the rain when the water is gathered and condensed.

Rank: C
Type: Supplementary
Range: Short-Mid
Chakra cost: 15
Damage Points: N/A
Description: This technique causes a target of the user's choice to "attract" raindrops. The water in the rain drops will attach themselves over an opponent. Once enough water has gathered over an enemy it will also attach to the ground, holding the user's opponent to the ground.

"Last two C rank techniques. The first one is fairly confusing, as it has many description flaws (Went to Scorps about this, and we are re-writing it). Anyway, the technique is simple, through manipulation of your Rain based chakra, you will create clones of yourself around drops of Rain. These clones are harmless, and disappear once they hit the ground (like raindrops fall) and just act as a distraction. This technique is utterly useless except for some tactical usage. It can also just be used Short range of you.

After that, a technique I like very much, you will use the opponent's clothes as a medium for the rain water. Through manipulation of your Rain based chakra, you will cause the opponent's clothes to fully retain the water that is falling. This means the opponent becomes heavier and heavier, or rather, his clothes (nice way to get the ladies to show some skin, cause the way to counter it is to remove the clothes z,z). Anyway, it doesn't create water, and needs to be used when it is raining."

OOC: Okay understood, ty!

Creating clones around singular drops of rain seems un realistic. But if indeed it is possible, it is a nice split-second distraction type of technique. Get closing in on the target, one could use this technique as he jumps into the air, or simply stay on the ground, blending with the replicas that would look just like the original? and flank them to strike. This is a cool technique to be used if falling from the sky and the target wants to accurately strike the target. What could be done is, create the shower of replicas in order to conceal one's self during the fall. This of course would force the target to release a more widescale technique which isn't too beneficial.

A unique looking technique, I like it because its very out there in the sense that it's not directly an attack and can be used effectively if used in the right conditions. If the user is a lightning user, he can then manipulate lightning to increase the electric shock. Although I'm unsure if the water would stay in the clothes after manipulating another technique, my assumption would be yes but maybe not as potent as keeping it active. This technique could potentially destroy all paper-related tags the target has on his person. Technique can also be used to slow down the movements of the target before entering close combat. Though the usage of it leaves the target prone to using wind to blow it away, so one has to watch out for that before-hand. I prediction would be the usage of the morning peacock technique to create a small gust vortex that blows away the water.

"Amazing, and yes, it stays active, meaning you can use something else in the mean time. Nonetheless, here you go."

Rank: C
Type: Supplementary
Range: Short
Chakra cost: 15
Damage Points: N/A
Description: A jutsu that creates false clones of the user around drops of rain. Every clone is totally harmless and is destroyed by one hit or if they collide with the ground or the enemy. This technique is used as more of a distraction than anything.

Rank: C
Type: Supplementary
Range: Short-Mid
Chakra cost: 15
Damage Points: N/A
Description: A jutsu that actually uses the victim's clothing as a medium to effect him or her. By filling the clothing with water-elemental chakra the user causes the clothing to fully retain all water it comes in contact with which will gradually cause the clothing to become heavier and heavier. Unfortunately, this jutsu that does not create water, so it is only useful in a rainy or otherwise wet environment

"Next, is another clone based technique, where you will use your Rain based chakra to create a clone from the very rain clouds. The clone resembles the you but it keeps the appearance of moving clouds with only your shape and color. Another tactical type of technique, but this clone is capable of both receiving and dealing damage (another vague description as it doesn't mention how much it can tank, or the output). Best used as only a distraction though.

After that, you will form several hand seals and focus your chakra into the falling rain. The rain will then draw together in the air, and form larger drops, which come down with great power, causing extreme damage as they fall like rocks from the sky. Due to their increase in size, they also fall at an accelerated rate."
