I could have sworn I replied to this before o.0

Strong points

  • Frozen water is harder to break then liquid
  • if they shatter the net/dome you can use the ice as shrapnel in combo with a wind jutsu
  • you can choose the shape that the hail takes to be more versatile
Weak points

  • Has to go way up into the air in order to freeze before coming back down so a lot of time to miss
  • Obvious to see coming due to causing a majority of the rain to go upwards, not normal and thus easily seen as a jutsu
  • Only up to Mid and thus can be ran away from if they are in Mid already which most of the time opponents are, and if you use this in a short range fight you'd have to direct it to your position and then move out of the way.
Combinations-strategies
Bind them with earth or gen to keep them in place for it to hit them. Use a wind jutsu from above to shatter the frozen water and use it as a ice/wind combo. Use the frozen water as a source for other jutsu (if you have Ice or use it for water). The dome can hide other jutsu or clones under it if you drop it and they dodge it.

Ways to counter:
Earth, Lightning or Wind jutsu to shatter it, powerful fire to melt/evaporate it. A earth structure to defend from above.

I release my chakra into the rain around us and taking control of the drops I cause them to go flying upwards back into the clouds, but not just to reform as rain, past that, into the higher altitude so that the water freezes like hail from the height. As the hail comes hurtling back to the ground aimed at a clone I cause it to shape into a net of ice that slams down on him and pins it to the ground.

Very good. Now I would like you to perform a battle combination against the wooden dummy with the techniques you've learned thus far in B ranks.

I begin by sending out a subtle wave of chakra into the rain clouds to cause the rain to form into larger drops making it noticeably heavier then quickly weave a few seals to cause these already large drops to condense into a rain of rock sized bullets of rain water, pummeling the area the dummy stands in. As the wood is battered I condense water in the air behind the dummys head and direct it to move forward and stab into the area where the neck and shoulders meet, jabbing the rain dagger into the spine area.

(Ooki Kouu no Jutsu) - Big Rain Skill
Rank: B
Type: Supplementary
Range: Short-Mid
Chakra cost: 20
Damage Points: N/A
Description: By sending subtle chakra waves into the clouds, the user is able to create unusually large nuclei for the water droplets to condense on. The end result is big raindrops that fall to the ground at a faster then normal rate. They aren't big or fast enough to cause any real damage, but they are quite distracting.

(Ame Ame Tama) - Raining Rain Bullets
Rank: B
Type: Attack
Range: Short-Mid
Chakra cost: 20
Damage Points: 40
Description: The user does the necessary handseals and focuses chakra into the rain, the rain draws together and forms several bullets of rain. The "bullets" fall at an accelerated rate and feel like large rocks falling from the sky.

(Ame Aikuchi) - Rain Dagger
Rank: B
Type: Attack
Range: Short-Mid
Chakra cost: 20
Damage Points: 40
Description: A simple jutsu that gathers the rain with chakra and then forms it into a dagger-like weapon. The chakra gives the water a more solid form so that it can be used for attacks. The water returns to normal shortly after creation. When the dagger cuts into something the water from the dagger expands within the cut to increase the damage.

Nico Robin looked at the new student: a familiar face. "It's been a while, 'Light'." She commented, as began the training.

"Alright. Correct me if i am wrong but I believe you are in the last technique of the B-rank list. Let's continue then. This technique is an advanced version of the original rain capture technique. Gather wind and water chakras together and combine them to create Rain chakra." As she spoke, Nico Robin summoned a parrot. The parrot sat still while saying some random things to annoy the student. "...yeah, what an annoying parrot. To shut him up, I'd like you to use your rain chakra and send it in the individual rain drops. I'd like you to manipulate the rain drops and have them bounce up above the clouds, eventually causing them to freeze. You'd shape the raindrops into the appropiate shape, dome or net, before allowing it to freeze so it can be frozen to that shape. Now, have it drop down to trap the parrot. It acts like a projectile, therefore it is easily evaded. Once you've trapped the Parrot, tell me how you would use this in battle in terms of combinations, and the limitations of the technique."

(Touketsu Ame Nottori no Jutsu) - Frozen Rain Capture Technique
Rank: B
Type: Supplementary
Range: Short-Mid
Chakra cost: 20
Damage Points: N/A
Description: An advance version of rain capture where the user bounces the rain into the clouds. The higher up they go the more colder they get untill they freeze and come falling down(similar to hail)in the form of a net or a dome to capture the opponent.

Hashirama strokes his chin thoughtfully before replying in a thoughtful, yet pleasant tone. Not a bad technique, although not very versatile in terms of what we can use to trap the opponent. I'd use a jutsu that blocks the target from escaping below such as the Swamp of the Underworld. The opponent would most likely attempt to blast himself into the air or something, only to find a giant net hurtling down at them. Also, the technique does no damage. If it did, we would be able to use a spiked net, and at least damage the opponent a bit. In addition, it would be relatively easy to escape after being caught since you can still use chakra.

With not even a gesture or a handseals, Hashirama molds his water and wind chakras together in order to create rain. He then focuses his chakra into the rain, and causes a lot of it to suddenly rise up, to such heights that the water freezes. The water would then condense and pool into the form of a large dome, before suddenly dropping down and ensnaring the caucous parrot summon. As he does so, Hashirama keeps a single feather...as a souvenir.

The Parrot and parrot feather disperse, and soon enough, you realize you were trapped in an illusion. "Ta-da! Fancy, huh? You basically captured nothing but air! Though, I liked your way of achieving things, haha. Anyways, I like your reply, especially the scenarios you set up. Nicely done, sir."

"Alright, the next technique is simple and the concept is one we just went over. Gather wind and water chakras together to create rain chakras. Channel the rain chakra into multiple rain drops and join them together to create a single dagger-shaped weapon. Have the large dagger made of rainwater bounce up and above the clouds, and once it reaches a high altitude, it should freeze it up completely. It would of course naturally fall downwards and it is pretty powerful, capable of piercing through the skull. Like the previous technique we just learned, it is essentially a 'projectile' based technique in a sense that you cannot manipulate it with chakra to have it move around as it is making its descent. Perform it to force my clone to disperse, and once you're done, give me combinations and disadvantages to the technique."
Nico robin creates a clone and has it stand a few meters from where the student was positioned.

Focusing his wind and water chakra's, the Count creates rain chakra. Withe the newly created rain chakra swelling into the sky, combining with rain drops, clusters are formed. Due tot he high altitude which these clusters are located, they eventually freeze into the shape of a dagger and begin their descent to earth. With the clone's position, the dagger comes falling at a decent speed due to its weight, crushing through he clones skull.

Very neat technique to say the least. It has quite a ring to it, "Rain Dagger". Hmmm, I wonder if this'll aid my assent to the throne?

"Ascension to a throne? Hahaha. You're delusional... i mean, yes, you can do it, I believe in you! :T_T:" Nico Robin laughed, as she moved onto explaining the next technique. "I need not explain - this technique is basically the same as the last one. The only difference is the first turns to water once it hits the ground, this one, on the other hand, disperse back into rain after three turns. Do you understand the technique? If you have any questions, feel free to ask."

(Touketsu Ame Ittou) - Frozen Rain Blade
Rank: A
Type: Attack
Range: Short-Mid
Chakra cost: 30
Damage Points: 60
Description: An advance version of rain blade where the user bounces the rain into the clouds. The higher up they go the more colder they get until they freeze and come falling down(similar to hail) and unlike the original they do not turn back into train until after 3 turns.

*repeats exactly what i did above*Focusing his wind and water chakra's, the Slaine creates rain chakra. With the newly created rain chakra swelling into the sky, combining with rain drops, clusters are formed. Due tot he high altitude which these clusters are located, they eventually freeze into the shape of a dagger and begin their descent to earth. With the clone's position, the dagger comes falling at a decent speed due to its weight, crushing through he clones skull. Instead of like before, the ice stays on the ground for three turns before turning back into rain.

Not that I asked you to perform it z-z

"The next one is a technique that requires advance chakra control. Through a single hand seal, while combining wind and water chakras together to create Ame chakra, I want you to send the rain chakra into the clouds. Three turns afterwards, the rain would solidify and turn into ice due to the rain chakra cooling the clouds slowly, making it kind of like a refrigerator that freezes the water droplets into ice before falling. Once three turns are up, use the chakra present in the hail and manipulate it to move the hail towards the target, falling down at a pretty fast speed, while pelting them and causing moderate damage. You would, of course, be required to maintain chakra concentration to be able to control the hail, and the hail only lasts for the turn it is used, so it would turn back into rainwater soon after." Nico Robin performs a single hand seal, and four clones are created that run around the battlefield. "Perform it and manipulate the hail to target my clones. Once you're done, give me the advantages and disadvantages of the technique."

(Hougeki Arare) - Bombarding Hail
Rank: A
Type: Attack
Range: Short
Chakra Cost: 30
Damage Points: 60
Description: Using this jutsu requires great chakra control, performing hand seals and sending chakra into the clouds. After a bit of development,(three turns) a ninja will form the precipitation of the cloud into hail. This hail will fall for a brief time from the clouds and by chakra control be targeted at the opponent.
Note:must have clouds in the sky to use this jutsu.

Listening to the smexy woman, Slaine sends his chakra into the air above, mainly imbuing it into the clouds. As his chakra molds for about three turns, large hail begins to fall from above, striking the opponent from above.

Personally, the main advantage of this is adding s 4th jutsu to that turn. Though, it'd be great for distractions also.

Disadvantages are pretty generic: the range makes this technique crap. Also, it wouldn't be too good if you got caught in the range of your own hail, so ya know.

"Alright next up - a technique used in conjunction with the Hidden Mist technique. By combining both water and wind chakras, i want you to create rain chakra and send it to the clouds. It is similar to the last jutsu we learned, with only two differences: It is only supplementary based and it is snow instead of hail. Use your rain chakra to manipulate the nature of the water droplets into the properties of snow, which is done by changing the wind/water chakra ratios. Now, if done correctly, the rain should turn into snow which would create a blizzard-like snow that is very thick, and as a result, hinder the vision of anyone in the battlefield." Nico Robin summons three training dummies, approximately three meters tall each. "This technique only lasts three turns, and it takes three turns for the snow to reach its maximum amount. Three turns after, it would be reduced to water. Now what uses might you find for this technique? When in battle, and either you or the enemy performs this technique, how would you react (how would you use it to your advantage, or how would you counter the 'hindering-vision' effect?"
(Setsumou) - Snow Blindness
Rank: A
Type: Supplementary
Range: Shot-Mid
Chakra Cost: 30
Damage Points: N/A
Description: Used in conjunction with the Hidden Mist skill this makes things even more difficult to see. If used without the Hidden Mist skill, it is far less effective. The user makes snow begin to fall from the sky as thick as possible. This, of course, effects both the user and the opponent's vision.
Note:This jutsu must have rain clouds to perform and the snow takes three turns to fall and lasts for 3 turns.
Restrictions:Can only be used three times per battle.
