Yes i totally agree with you, he improved so mush that his eye sight and reflexes are far above sasuke's sharingan and body movement (which by the even sasuke couldn't follow) i mean it's totally believable

Raikage's speed would surely overcome Gaara's defense keep in mind that Rock Lee had him on his toes and his speed is nowhere near Raikage's

Raikage is to fast for gaaras sand, just like sasuke was in their match when they was yunger.
And gaaras sand armor is to weak for raikages taijutsu

Didnt Gara stop the Raikages leg drop with his sand keeping Raikage from getting injured by Sauskes Infero style??

If Gara had made those spikes in stead of a cushion he would have just used Raikages own fighiting style against him. Fighing smarter is better than fighting harder.

How can you say that speed doesn't matter i mean what good is any attack if you can't hit your target, yes gara has his ultimate defence and sand armor and is good at long and mid range attacks and all those things but i don't think any of those things would even come close to raikage let alone hit him beside i think that it's a fact that gara isn't good with speedy attack's so i think if they'v gone all out at the beginning i think that Gara wouldn't be able to putt up his guard on time let alone have a chance to strike, and i think it's a fact that when opponent's with similar strength fight each other the faster one wins so it's hands down for Raikage

I thought Short range fighters were at a disadvantage against mid-long range type fighters? Even so Gara also has has short range moves as well, Garas defensive abilites can switch to an offensive attack in an instant. Look at his battle with Sauske during the chunin exams, on top of that he still has his sensory sand, and his third eye to keep tabs on Raikage. Even if he dosent use his absolute defense against Raikage, Gara can just muck up and slow down Raikage with sand clones, he hits them and Gara has his limb traped in sand. Crush it and slow him down even more. Destroy his other hand and or a leg and Raikage is effed in the eh?

Yea you'r right short range fighters are weaker against long range fighters i mean unless their opponent doesn't reach them in a millisecond, like i said before if they fought one on one with everything they'v got from the start raikage would will in a flash so in my opinion raikage is stronger

Yeah, oppinions are like butts almost everyone has one.

If Gara made sand clones like I said and slowed Raikage down even a bit, and could crush a limb, Raikage would get wrecked. There are plent of ways to uses Raikages strenght against him.

His style is close range attacks
And speed.

Counters trap him with a sand clone crush his leg or mess up the fighing area to make Raikage come to you the way you want him to and he's yours, or at least playing into your hand.

Raikage would have to take out the clones or attack them in order to land a hit on the actual Gara unless he could figure out which one was the real Gara in the first place.

Even Garas sand projectiles, that he aimed at Sauske kept up with Dauris Lighning Circus, so Gara has some fast long range attacks, to keep up with Raikage.
Even being stripped of the Shikau Gara can at least put up a good fight even against someone like Raikage.

i liked the butt part but i guess you have a point sometimes even a ant can beat the crap out of elephant let's just call it a draw i mean we only saw raikage fight for what 2-3 episodes and we speculate that's all he has i mean what jutsu did he used ??? he has enormous amount of chakra and all he used is a lightning armor i doubt that that's all he's got. For all we know bought of them have a full new arsenal of destructive jutsu and for all we know id say that pain would kick bought of their asses

Yea and in the end it's like you sead everybody has their own opinion just like their own butt, but if pain were there he wuld use some awesome Armageddon jutsu and blow everybody away then there wouldn't be any doubt's about him being the strongest

Raikage would win, lighting is strong againest earth not weak (shaded) the sand didn't fully stop his legdrop it cushioned/slowed it down so his leg didn't connect with the fire but he jumps back after the slowdown, either way hitting the sand would still nullify his attacks so they would be useless if he tried to punch a sand wall. biggest thing is A's body flicker he used to avoid amaterasu he could probably get around gaara's sand and chop him like he did to sasuke but would gaara's armor of sand do the same as sasuke's susanoo ribs? i think it'd be more of a frustring battle for A then a real tough one, hes just got to get around the large amounts of sand for a second to connect with a blow once or twice gaara probably couldn't catch him to use sand burial unless he did a tsunami like vs kimimaro and just cover the whole field.

Thats right I wasnt sure was it Kakashi who talked about how naruto shold be glad he wasnt a earth type nature against his lightning style? Even so Raikages leg drop didnt go through the sand. If it was that weak against it wouldnt have A split through the sand no problem and have had to figure out a way to cut off his leg?
