No offence u guy's but y r som of u slammin kishi by sayin ametarasu aint strong anymor. The raikage lost his flamin HAND!!! for crying out loud. Comon. I aint sasuke's biggest fan but still it sounds like becoz sasuke's usin it and not itachi, its all of a sudden becoming weaker!

idk, the raikage's jounin partner said sasuke might be stronger than itachi now because he's able to control amaterasu's flames, unlike itachi.

Just because Sasuke can control Amaterasu flames, doesn't mean he's stronger than Itachi XDD

Itachi is still way beyond Sasuke, if for no other reason than experience. I, for one, am really glad to see that the Amaterasu has such a high cost and is also not the be all, end all ability.
Thank god that Sasuke's curse mark/Orochimaru is gone, otherwise there would not be enough space in the manga to have him use all his abilities.

You all forget sasuke still hasnt come in contact with naruto and you all damn well know kishi wont let him die before that happens. sure he might get spanked a little but not death. what would naruto do with himself if sasuke died b4 meeting up with him again. Neah it`s clear Sasuke can't die. He will get hes ass whooped but won't die. As some1 beore me said Naruto and Sasuke need to have an all out before that happens. AND PPL STOP COMPAIRING ITACHI TO SASUKE. Itachi was dying when he fought Sasuke and never went quite all out on him. So no Sasuke is not even close to Itachi. And Yes Amaterasu is avoidable if you are fast-enough just like Kakashis dimensional Jutsu it needs time to form itself.

for real also kishi didnt make it appear weaker it ended up just being a slow technique. It looks the like the raikage just moved so fast and made a lighting clone that the flames stuck to. That doesnt cut down the power it just means its slow. Im sure with training u could learn to control it better. Look at how sasuke can change the shape of the flames itachi never did that. Even the Raikages guards said that itachi couldnt do that. Only problem training that technique will make u go blind lol

My favorite part of this chapter by far was when Raikage dodged the Amaterasu. And no, not because that in itself was awesome, but what happened in the background. The damn Samurai got PWNED! I laughed like hell when that happened. He was just like "oh we got him now! He's surrounded, and Raikage is beating his ass, I'm just gonna sit here and watch!" Then, "WTF!?!?!?! IM ON FIRE AHHHHHHHHHHHH!"

Raikage didn't care the slightest bit either lol.

Kish is just trying to thicken the plot. Amaterasu seems weak because its being used against a Kage level shinobi, he cant just let him look like a weakling.
